Artist Altitude
Comments This is a really nice mellow tune. It's got a really calming feel to it and a brill ?kettle drum? sound that I like. Reminds me a lot of ?Glockenspiel? back in the mists of time. The build up to the main chorus is nice and euphoric and there are some nice sounds that further enhance the whole feeling. My groan is that the gaps in the middle are too long and once it does get going it is a bit on the short side. A good tune and worth checking out.

Comments Almost everything this fella touches turns to gold and this is no exception. Has a very French feel to this, which sounds surprisingly really good. Solid beat and the main chorus is just awesome. This is euphoria at it's best and it just keeps going and going. There is a really nice sounding drum beat in the background that keeps this flowing. When I say it keeps going, it really does. None of that 30 second burst and then a lull; this is off in a world of it's own. A fantastic tune that I will be playing for sometime.

Comments This is a very refreshing tune indeed. Inferno used to be a pants label, but they are beginning to put out some good tunes. Push used to be more progressive house, but this is pumping. Both mixes are great, but the Club Mix just edges it as it more banging. Hard and fast and with prupose, your feet will tap when they hear this. The Original Mix is a tad more subdued, but just as good. There's a great bit with a very Hip Hop beat, fantastic.

Artist Liquid State feat. Marcella Woods
Comments I can't say how disappointed I am with this label and these mixes. Don't get me wrong, track 3 is brilliant; a very ambient chillout track that works very well. The other 2 'dance' tracks are poxy 7" versions; not the full length one's. Pisses me right off. In fact Incentive keep doing this and I stopped buying their records, maybe the same for Perfecto.

Comments Everything this lot do is pure brilliance and this is my no means any different. This is pure euphoric trance as it should be. Great beat, great bassline, great synths and a great feeling. If you need picking up and to feel good about life, listen to this.

Comments Nice, very nice. As soon as I saw the mixes on this I knew I'd like it. 2 very different tracks indeed. PPK comes in with a nice smooth dance track that has all the right bits in the right places. The Minimalistix mix turns the bass up quite a bit and really thumps home a solid dance/club track. Both equally good.

Title The Underground Sound of Holland My Life

3/5 : Good
Artist Various
Comments The Perfecto 'Underground' series continues and this isn't bad. If you like your house music and you like it progressive then this is for you. The first 3 are very samey in that it's a beat that get beatier and then end. My Life at least has some minor vocals and does change a tad more. This will be as the title says, Underground.
Label Perfecto : Released March 2002

Comments I'm convinced this is a remake of a tune that came out about 10 years ago and what a great remix it is. It's basically a 'accordian' type sound all the way through it with the beat gradually getting more and more intense. It all comes together ina great culmination of sound. Very 90's and 'Old Skool', but still works really well. The Push Remix is by far the best.

Comments It's about time a decent track came out on the Incentive Label. The 2 mixes are very similar, but the Original Mix just pips Cream Team. Why ? It's more of a dance tune and has a great anthem'esque feel to it. Cream Team is still good, but just doesn't have the killer punch. Very epic and very trance.
Label Incentive : Released March 2002

Title Everywhere I Go Push Transcentral Mix

2/5 : Not Bad
Artist The Space Brothers
Comments Push and The Space Brothers in one, what more could you ask for. The pioneers of trance get a collaboration on and it sounds goods. This is slow to get going, although all the right noises are there that sort of promise something nice and funky. The pause starts to lay down that familiar beat and there is some nice work on the background bass. The tune comes in gradually over the beat, but then fades off into some vocals; which kills the tune dead really. There are a few attempts to revive this, but you've already lost the beat; which is a shame.

Title Please Save Me Push Mix

3/5 : Good
Artist Sunscreem vs. Push
Comments Quite a combination these 2. Sunscreem on the one hand were the strange group who's haunting vocals had a very strange, but pleasant effect on their tunes. Push were heading down the path of greatness and becoming known for producing great music. This was a bizarre tune in that the vocals were quite mad, yet with the Push beat they sounded really good. I don't know know what they were on when they came up with these lyrics, but it was heavy. Takes a while to get going, but you do eventually get a 137 BPM tune that kicks ass. Typical Push.

Comments This was a track that in my opinion revived the somewhat flagging Perfecto label. From a label that had dominated with some many great tracks to one that seemed to be just churning out any old crap. This was new and fresh, just what it needed. A thumping dance floor number that had all the elements that make a good track. I loved the orchestral bit at the beginning as it really added some passion and then the anthem. Wow. Even now it makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. It went on and on and on, which was just superb. This has that real triumphant feel to it, which worked so so well.

Title Nightstalker Original Mix

2/5 : Not Bad
Artist Altitude
Comments What a strange tune, Starts really eerily, with a weird drum beat that sounding like 'scratching?; as in DJ scratching. Remember ?Nightmare? by Brainbug ?? When this gets going I really like the haunting melody and for its age it still sounds really fresh. The big downside is that this suffers from really bad stop / start syndrome; so much so that it does ruin the track quite a lot. A real shame as this has a massive about of potential.
Label Bonzai Trance : Released June 2001

Title Tokyo Original Mix

Artist Steve Gibbs
Comments This has a nice fresh sound to it, even though it's now a fairly old tune. Mr Gibbs has spawned some nice creations in the past and this is equal to them all. This, however, doesn't do much in the way of music. There's a nice beat and an equally cool vive going on, but that's about it. Theirs is the usual stop / start stuff, but when the beat picks back up it doesn't change to much. Don't get me wrong, this sounds OK; but very basic. Perhaps it is showing it's age ?
Label Five AM : Released June 2001

Title Peak Pusher Original Mix

3/5 : Good
Artist Samui
Comments Being a big fan of ?The Big Blue? I looked forward to hearing this. Although not as good as Blue, this is still a solid dance tune. The main chorus is really catchy, full of nice synth work and a hard beat. Generally a beat in any tune is fairly straightforward, but this does seem to carry the tune that bit more. A good tune.
