Title Am I On Your Mind Oxygen 12" Mix

3/5 : Good
Artist Oxygen ft Andrea Britton
Comments There's a really naff Dub of this track which I would avoid like the plague. Leave the 12" on for about 3 mins and close your eyes and listen to what comes out, pure dance. OK this isn't a rocking trance track, but this is a kick ass solid house tune with a wonderful vocal. I think it's the resemblance of the early house tunes that makes me like this. Well worth a look.

Artist DT8 ft Roxanne Wilde
Comments This is a really superb track. I like vocals in a good trance record, but they ahve to work and in this they do. OK, they are chessey lyrics; but like in Darey's 'Beautiful' they really add to it. A pacey little 135 BPM really gets this going and what with the vocals and the really nice ambience about the track, I love it. Strange sort of track from a label I used to associate with Hip Hop !

Title Latino Nights Motivation Mix

3/5 : Good
Artist Intrique
Comments Not often I get a tune with 2 decent mixes. Both run at a pleasant 135 BPM and are very diverse The Timecode Mix is very reminiscent of a State 808 track with a solid pumping beat that sounds good. The Motivation Mix is much more of a club track with a really nice rhythm which makes it a real toe tapper.

Title Sweetest Dreams Greg Murray Remix

3/5 : Good
Artist Corderoy
Comments This is a really happy tune. Moves at 135 BPM with a nice feeling to it. The main tune comes from a very simple piano melody with some some nice vocally synths over the top. This is certainly the sort of track I'd expect to hear at 3am.
Label Relative : Released November 2002

Title New Dimension Original Mix

3/5 : Good
Artist John Askew
Comments A really cool house come trance track. The beginning is a pumpy little house tune that has real passion about it. When loud it goes straight through you and you can really feel it. Later on in the track it becomes more epic by retaining the beat, but just slightly upping the tempo. A great tune.
Label Duty Free : Released November 2002

Artist Fu Man Choo
Comments I liked the artist before I heard this and then I heard it and really liked it. The best thing is that this is a good 9 minutes long and just doesn't give up. It moves at a surprisingly fast 139 BPM, which sounds slower, but this is a real epic trance tune. Great beat and some superb synth sounds to make this a must for your collection.

Artist Mane Sonitus
Comments One of the best tracks I've heard in ages. This is 3 different records wrapped into one. Usually a tune will build upto the main bit, but this builds up in stages with each stage being a cracking tune in its own right. The endings is pure trance of the highest quality and is everything that I want to hear in a trance tune. Buy this.

Title Dance Kenny Hayes Club Vox

This text will be replaced by the flash music player.

3/5 : Good
Artist Apollo
Comments There are a lot of tunes coming out that follow this sort of method in that a nice beat is accompanied by some female singing over the top. The best of these and probably the daddy was Beautiful by Matt Darey, although this isn't bad. Kenny Hayes seems to be doing everything of late and his mix is the best. Happy and bouncy with passable vocals that will do very well in the clubs. If you like Paul van Dyk, then this will be your cup of tea.
Label AATW Records : Released November 2002

Title Restless Vocal 12" Mix

3/5 : Good
Artist Oblik
Comments Can't quite place what it is about this that I like. This isn't what I'd normally listen to, but it's sooo catchy. It has a really cool classical feel to it and the vocals are quite good as well. I'd love to hear a funked up house/trance version. As it is, at 129 BPM, it's well worth a listen.
Label Pepper Records : Released November 2002

Title Sinister Original Mix

3/5 : Good
Artist Chimera
Comments I am a massive fan of early stuff by Orbital. This, as per the title, is a 'mix' of Orbital and 'Dooms Night' by Azzido da Bass and it works so well. It has a great beat and right at the beginning it hints at Orbital and then leaves it alone. Lots of little snippets hint at what it's going to do and when it does it rocks. Azzido in the middle with that awesome 'whup whup' noise is brill. I love it.
Label BMG : Released November 2002

Title Sunspot Original Mix

3/5 : Good
Artist Airwave vs. Rising Star
Comments I like Airwave and Van Buuren, so this should be a real corker and it sort of is. Very happy happy music this, bounces along and just makes you feel happy. Nice noises going on, with the mina being a sort of a flute. Good beat, some nice pianos in the background; just nice and happy all round really. Bit on the short side and I think that there could have been a bit more ?uummph? in places, but this is a really good tune. Worth having a listen to as this will sound good in any set and will definitely get thos hands in the air.

Artist GTR
Comments This is one the many aliases for Gareth Emery, who is a top artist under any name. This is a slowish record to get going as it just rambles a bit, plus it does have some strange woman saying something in places. That said, when this is in full flow it really does kick big time arse. The extra nice thing is that there are 2 nice long anthems in this one, the second being slightly more on a heavier euphoric trip; which again I really like.
Label Five AM : Released November 2002

Title Crazy English Summer Hiver & Hammer Remix

This text will be replaced by the flash music player.

3/5 : Good
Artist Faithless
Comments This is a hard thumping number that has been well reworked by Hiver & Hammer. The big downside is the awful vocals that really stop this from being a classic. An istrumental would be great, but don't let that detract from an otherwise great tune. You will hear this in the clubs.
Label White Label : Released October 2002

Title Ganbareh Kenny Hayes Remix

4/5 niiiccceeeee
Artist Sash
Comments Usually, when I speak of Sash! the words 'crap', 'touch' and 'bargepole' are normally mentioned. However, this is a rather nice tune. It is very chessey and aimd at the charts, but Kenny hayes does club it up quite nicely. Great beat and a nice 'off beat' chorus that will stick in your mind make this quite OK. The downside is that it still has a silly Spanish sounding man screaming now and then. The middle is quite superb which deviates from the main rhythm of the track.
Label White Label : Released October 2002

Title Nebuchan ORGAN Mix

This text will be replaced by the flash music player.

2/5 : Not Bad
Artist Frank TRAX
Comments I love the name of this as much as the track itself. TRAX and ORGAN go back some way and it's nice to see some recent collaborations between them. The ORGAN Mix is a hard club track that verges on the techno front. Great beat, but doesn't quite hit the mark until fairly late on. Three Drives on the other hand add a eerie sublime feel to the track. A very simple progressive house track that's a bit samey.
