Title Love On The Run Chicane Mix

This text will be replaced by the flash music player.

2/5 : Not Bad
Artist Chicane
Comments If you are a Chicane fan, then you will like this. It's very much what they've done before, but with some male vocals. This is the thing that lets this down as it is just the same as before. It has the typical Chicane beat and feel to it, very relaxed; yet dancey. The vocals are OK, but just seem to repeat themselves over and over. This is OK, but they've done much better in the past.
Label WEA : Released January 2003

Title Kidology Original Mix

2/5 : Not Bad
Artist Ewan Malah
Comments An OK sort of tune this one. Very much on the progressive house side with a nice touch of tribal. Very samey throughout with the odd flash of something different. It's catchy and mixes well and would benefit from a remix.
Label Black and White : Released January 2003

Title Saltwater Thrillseekers House Mix

This text will be replaced by the flash music player.

3/5 : Good
Artist Chicane
Comments The original of this came out a few years ago and was brilliant. A perfect infusion of celtic chants and a house beat. The Thrillseekers have vamped it up, but lost a bit in the transition. Still a good tune, but just a bit too on the pop side. The Ambient Mix is very good and with a decent beat behind it would probably be better. A good tune, but the Original is better.
Label Xtravaganza : Released January 2003

Title Who Is It ? Original Mix

This text will be replaced by the flash music player.

2/5 : Not Bad
Artist Chopstick & Spoiled
Comments I've now listened to this several times as I couldn't quite make my mind up. This is an OK sort of record that would fill an empty gap in your collection and be a good starter when playing out. Very simple 129 beat, nice spacey sound and some rather catchy weird sampled vocals. That's about it with this, although I didn't get the vocal about the wizard ?
Label Intra : Released January 2003

Title War of Words Kickflip Remix

This text will be replaced by the flash music player.

2/5 : Not Bad
Artist Bad Cop
Comments You have to keep listening to this. Starts very drum and bass, even though this only runs at 134 BPM. The bassline is very hard and complements the beat very well. There's a great acid like piano over the top which gets more frantic as the track progresses. Great head banger tune once it gets going, even takes a rip out of the old 'Homeboy, Dread ...' classic. Worth a listen.
Label Akademia : Released January 2003

Title Kala Chant Part One

This text will be replaced by the flash music player.

3/5 : Good
Artist Xian
Comments Ooooohhhh nice. All the best elements of a progressive house track combined with some nice trance beats. Starts very slowly, building up nicely; with a good solid tribal type come gothic beat. The usual stop i the middle and then it throws all the noises and synths at you. This is a noisy track with a bit of 'wailing' over the top, but it works. If you like it progressive and tribal, check this out
Label Gekko : Released January 2003

Title Sleep Max Graham Mix

This text will be replaced by the flash music player.

3/5 : Good
Artist Conjure One
Comments This is a really fresh track. It has a cool solid beat that doesn't overdo it, just moves along nicely. The beginning has a really excellent continual sample of a woman singing which works. The main bit is just a nice chilled dance track that I really like, plus the vocals really add to the whole thing. Nice
Label Nettwerk : Released January 2003

Title Murto Shake Before Use Mix

This text will be replaced by the flash music player.

2/5 : Not Bad
Artist Beatpusher
Comments This starts with such a kicking beat (137 BPM), but then some god awful vocals ruin the experience. If you can find an instrumental, then this will rock. It's a hard pulsey number which will get them toes going and there's some really cool synth work in the main bits. The vocals suck, shame
Label Serious : Released January 2003

Title The Silent You The Mystery Mix

4/5 niiiccceeeee
Artist Unmark
Comments This is more like it. An epic trance track that does exactly what it says on the tin, goes somewhere. This starts well with a good beat and a nice pianoesque tune over the top. All the synths build upto a nice crescendo in an allez house come fashion. The kick arse bit is very The Mystery, which is a good thing as I like them. This almost got a 5, but it tails off a bit early for my liking and all the best bits are crammed into the middle, too long an ending.
Label Sirup : Released January 2003

Title Doors Space Brothers Dub

This text will be replaced by the flash music player.

2/5 : Not Bad
Artist Chakra
Comments Chakra were a monster outfit and have produced some quality tunes. This is not one of the best tunes from them as it's a little bit on the samey side. There's a good solid beat and a ?haunting? type of vocal going on; but that's it. The Space Brothers add their usual feel to the tune, which at the time was the best. This starts to get going and then just dies on you, which is a real shame. That said, can't knock the artist.
Label Lost Language : Released January 2003

Title Far From in Love Airbase Remix

This text will be replaced by the flash music player.

3/5 : Good
Artist Above & Beyond
Comments These guys are so solid and dependable, no matter what name they are recording under and this is no disappointment. It starts with a very solid and funky beat, which gets the senses tingling with anticipation. The vocals aren't that bad either and sound OK once blended with the beat. Has a very triumphant and euphoric feel to it. Very simple, but effective. I would have liked to have seen a bit more ?uummpphh? in the chorus as it didn't change very much, although it still sounds pretty good.
Label Anjunabeats : Released January 2003

Title Protonic Ronski Speed Remix

This text will be replaced by the flash music player.

3/5 : Good
Artist Sonorous
Comments A good solid middle of the road tune. Good hard beat and a nice reveb synth make this rather unusual. It is quite a stop / start tune and the vocals in the middle are a bit on the odd side. I can't say I'm a big fan of them as they are a bit over the top. Once you are past the, then this works OK. Have a listen and see what you think.
Label Euphonic : Released January 2003

Title Freeloader Green Martian Remix

This text will be replaced by the flash music player.

2/5 : Not Bad
Artist Driftwood
Comments A very deceptive tune this one. It starts really well and immediately gets the old feet going and you are left in much anticipation of what's to come. Unfortunately, not much. Yes it's a pulsey little number at 137 BPM and it is really catchy, but it's over 8 minutes of something very samey. Worth a listen, but all the way through.
Label Positiva : Released December 2002

Title Genie Michael Splint Remix

This text will be replaced by the flash music player.

3/5 : Good
Artist Airbase
Comments Nice this one. Very much what I call an epic trance track as it has that real euphoric trumpet effect sound that really raises the tune to the next level. Really pacey and has a great vocal element to it which just adds to the whole effect. A quality tune.
Label Go For It : Released December 2002

Title R U Out There Mr Sam Remix

This text will be replaced by the flash music player.

3/5 : Good
Artist Mark Shimmon
Comments If you like a good progressive house track, then this will be right up your street. This starts with just a single noise and builds up to a really good thumping tune. It's a bit samey in places as you can guess what's going to happen next, but don't let that detract from the way that this has been put together. A good little 131 BPM number that's worth a listen.
