Title Number One Original Mix

3/5 : Good
Artist DJ Asle
Comments This is a crazy tune that I really like. A really cool beat that moves well and a bizarre electronic voice that says 'Number One' (oddly enough). There's some nice synths that give this that epic feel and it's nicely balanced between waiting for the good stuff and hearing it. Worth tracking down.

Comments Promising, but lacking. I like a nice deep house tune with all the spaced out feeling to it and this starts that way. After 4 mins it starts to go somewhere and you thing you're in for a real treat. Downside is that it just doesn't do much more. A nice simple synth that has so much promise. This is screaming out for a good remix.

Comments A weird one this. It's got a good solid house beat with that touch of 10 years ago. Takes a while to get going, but delivers well. It is a bit samey throighout with the odd stopping here and there and then some new sounds, but an overall OK tune.

Comments Another strange old tune this. This really does draw on the old skool stuff and is very reminiscent of the 'Inner City' stuff. A nice house come techno number that has a catchy chorus and moves well. Bit samey, which is a shame as this tune has potential. I'd like to hear a good remix.

Comments 2 very good tracks on the one disk, makes a nice change. Tears in a quality trance number that builds up and up to a superb crescendo of sound. My only gripe is that it isn't long enough. Marrakech oozes class and has a really good 'North African' feel to it with little noises hear and there. A quality debut for Altitude on Platipus.

Title Don't Worry Lucien Fort Vocal Mix

2/5 : Not Bad
Artist Appleton
Comments I am amazed I like this. Why ? It's one of the Appleton sisters who I thought were fairly talentless as 'All Saints'. This is a good house tune, with a solid beat and some nice simple synths and vocals. On the vocals, there is a nice bit in the middle which works well. Very much like 'Industry' by Heaven 17 those many years back, in the mechanical noises. Worth a listen, honest !

Title Where Dreams Come True Original Mix

3/5 : Good
Artist Steffenson
Comments This is a really fresh, fast and pacey little number. It's nothing out of the ordinary, but it has all those trance elements that I like. The 'chorus' is a typically fast bit (140 BPM), but then it slows down with what I can only describe as pipe music with some rather soothing vocals over the top. Then it's back to the 'wham bham thank you mamm' stuff. A really good little track

Comments House music, that's what this, pure house music. I s'pose I should really call it progressive as it's one of them that builds up and up to the whole thing. Works well for me this one, moves at the right tempo, keeps you guessing as to what's next and delivers when and where it should. I'm beginning to like this artist, a lot.

2/5 : Not Bad
Artist Rougue
Comments This is one of them tracks that you'll hear and it'll go round and round in your head. Why ? Well, the bassline for this is very addictive in that it is so deep and well, bouncey. You just have to listen to know what I mean. The actual track is OK, very much in the house sector; but just check out the bassline.

Comments Now I usually associate this guy with fairly spaced out tunes that have no dance edge to them at all, so was somewhat surprised when I heard this. It does have some really weird noises going on, but with the rather nice beat; it sounds good. Bit Tibetan in places ? This just moves so well and sounds so good, I'm still shocked who the artist is. Very moody trance, but that isn't a bad thing as this works. It doesn't go mad, sticks to the beat and the tune is fairly constant; but because it sounds good it flows so nicely. Strange tune to describe, but well worth getting hold of a copy.

Artist Base Grafitti
Comments This has a very catchy tune, all be it a tad hard for my liking. The stuff around the 'chorus' is a bit naff and is just a combination of annoying stupid sounds, very much techno. The chorus is quite catchy and moves along nicely. One for your hard house collection.

Title Let Me Fly Extended Mix

Artist Infextious
Comments This gets down to business very early. A 140 BPM hard trance track that will do very well in the clubs. Presented by Darren Styles, this is an OK tune. The vocals, however, don't work at all. Some bird rattling on about flying just looses the plot completely. An instrumental of this would be good. The main bit is partially ruined by the repetive wailing on the word 'fly'. As I say, take out the vocals and you've got a great track.

3/5 : Good
Artist Lange ft Leah
Comments Big fan of this artist as he's produced some real stunning tracks in the past, many of which are in my top tracks list. This is a good tune and has al the familiar stuff you'd expect from Lange. Hard trance with vocals. There's nothing that makes this stand out from the rest, it's just a good 137 BPM club trance track that you should add to your collection as there will undoubtedly be a better mix on the vinyl.

Artist Conjure One
Comments I really liked the track 'Sleep', so looked forward to playing this. Starts well and promises much, nice vocals; but it just dies on its feet. Nothing really happens until quite late into the track and by then you've almost turned it off. I'll try to be positive, but it isn't anything that you'll not hear elsewhere. Buy their previous track.

Title Touch You Ralphie B Remix

This text will be replaced by the flash music player.

3/5 : Good
Artist Katoi
Comments This starts really bad in that it sounds like it's going to be good and just doesn't go anywhere. You have to leave it on for a few minutes before it really takes off. Great beat, great tune and I like the haunting vocals over the top. My only criticism is that it repeats itself and is a tad samey. Once it goes, it doesn't really change too much. Doesn't detract from a good track nonetheless.
