3/5 : Good
Artist Jessy
Comments I was dubious about buying this one, namely becuase of the artist name; sounds dubious. I was and wasn't right in this ! The CJ Stone Remix is very much the Top 10 110% cheese record. All the right noises and squeaky vocals, no thanks. Fortunately Milk Inc lay down a much more club approach. A hard beat, nice sampling and the vocals work well. Very much aimed at the charts, but not bad.

Comments Nice, real nice. There's a word to describe this, bouncy. This kicks off really well, with a good solid bouncy beat and some nice catchy synths. Then we get the obligatory pause, but here the artist throws in some nice orchestral type sounds. There's an occasional drum roll which I really like as it keep you hooked. The build up really is excellent and just when you think it's started, it really starts. In your face and no letting up this one. It keeps going in its relentless pursuit to make your ears bleed and you will be crying out for more, even though the chorus is longer than most. A great tune.

Artist Solar Stone vs. Sirocco
Comments I like Solar Stone a lot and I'm always on the lookout for any of their stuff. This is a long one at over 11 minutes, which sometimes can be a bit of a worry. This doesn't suffer at all, it's a cross between a chilled tune and a progressive number that has been blended together really well. This is the intro version and it certainly has one at almost 5 minutes, but it's a nice intro into a nice sounding record. Odd noises going on, but the main theme is throughout and the pace, although fairly slow, is constant throughout. This is a Caf? del Mar sort of number, nice to listen to while looking out of a plane window or on the beach. Nice.

Comments This is one that starts so sweetly. Got a real subtle beat, very much on the chilled side of the fence. This is slowly built upon with some nice synth noise and the odd bit of sampled vocals. This then turns into a nice long mellow tune that moves really nicely. Got some good extra vocals in places and the synths are notched up to give it that little extra lift. Then, you get it all again which is just sublime. This is a long track and just when you think it's all over and that works brilliantly. Very nice tune.

Comments Nice, very nice. It always takes a while after Xmas for some good tunes and they are finally beginning to arrive. This is a pure trance tune, nothing short of a top top tune. 137 BPM with all the right bits added for your total enjoyment. Although the track stays the same throughout, there are quite a few different slants on the chorus which really are great. Superb.

Comments I like this man as I loved 'Black Magic' and this is almost on a par with that. It's fast and has a meaty beat and it is quite fantastic. If you remember the likes of 'Doof!' then you'll know where this is going. This is what trance started out like. My gripe would be that it stops and looses the beat a few too many times when it should have just been going for the jugular. Still a top tune.

Artist Calija
Comments Has the promise to be a really good tune this. I like the beat, which has a nice loose drum feeling to it and the vocals are really nice. The downside is that it's the same old thing that's churned out so many times. Nothing different, but a remix would really help.

Artist Solar Stone
Comments A fantastic artist this one and this is a fantastic tune. Although it runs at a pacey 137 BPM, this is a really chilled tune. Has that typical Solar Stone feel, but the main chorus has a chilled feeling to it. This is everything I'd expect to hear in a top club and most certainly out in Ibiza. The only downside is the beginning in that there's a point where it just stops, which looses the tempo

Comments This is a really old tune and it's really bugging me who it was buy. You have to bear with this as it's a bit slow on the up, but once you get through the tame beginning and speaking, it really is a great tune. I love the main bit which has a really frantic feel to it and the moody synths in the background raise it up a level. One of the best things is that it isn't bitty, once you're in the chorus you stay there for a while. So that feeling lasts for much longer. Well worth checking this out.

Artist Best Company
Comments Catchy, this is very catchy. Not the best track you'll ever hear, but it has that infectious feel to it that will go round and round inside your head for ages. It also has a great acid sound to it, which I still love and wish there was more of. It's a fast one this at 140 BPM and it does change around quite a bit rather than the usual couple of different bits. Worth a listen.

Comments I can find no fault with this record, it's bloody brilliant. The Club Mix is an absolute stormer than I don't stop playing. It has the lot, a top beat, great sounds and a totally 105% euphoric epic trance feel to it. The Hemstock Mix isn't bad either, so you won't go wrong with this. Liquid Asset is rapidly becoming a fantastic label, buy this, NOW !

Comments A really hard trance tune this and one I like. The main chorus is furious with a real in your face beat. Runs at 138 BPM and you know it. If you like it even harder and with vocals, then the Apollo Remix is OK; but a bit too hard for my liking. Very noisy and very addictive this, another good buy.

Artist Dario G
Comments Yeah, I know; a Dario G track on the site. This is surprisingly quite good. There does seem to be a lot of trance around at the moment that are just remakes of older tracks and this is one of them. However, this does work quite well and if you take out the sometimes annoying vocals then you have a pacey little dance number. In fact, the chorus is a really good tune to itself, with the vocals. Not naff and worth a listen.

Artist Oakenfold
Comments I was a great fan of the early Oakie stuff on Perfecto, but went off him when he went a bit too commercial. Now he's in this transitional state, I love his stuff. 'Southern Sun' is one of my fave tracks for some time and this picks up nicely where that left of. OK, it's got vocals; but they work (for a change). This is beefed up with a nice 137 BPM baseline and some well worked choruses. One of his best.

Artist Ronski Speed pres. Sun Decade
Comments This has a fantastic feel and sound to it. This is what is best described as total euphoria and makes the hairs stand up big time. Good solid beat with some excellent moody synth work to give the tune that haunting feel. Then it throws down a brilliant piano accompaniment which lifts this up another level. Then it brings you back down, which is a shame; but the pace keeps going and you know there is more to come. That doesn't take long and before you know you are back up there. This isn't a complicated tune, it just has a good feel and that piano bit which works really well. It's a shame the main theme isn't longer, but then I've always been greedy.
