Title Who's Crying Now Original Mix

3/5 : Good
Artist DJ Chrome
Comments This is a really annoyingly catchy tune. A very simple house tune that runs at a very 'slow' 127 BPM, but is really happy. This is exactly what I would expect to hear in Ibiza as it is quite on the commercial side. Beat moves well and the vocals complement it all very well. A good tune from the mighty Perfecto label.

Comments A deep, dark and progressive house track this one. Not my usual cup of tea, but I like the slight tribal feel to it and the subtle vocals. I think this needs a funked up remix for the club scene, but this is a nice number to mix with as it's a respectable 132 BPM which goes with most stuff. If you like your house, check this out.

2/5 : Not Bad
Artist Quivver
Comments Another decent house outing to pick from. Quivver has been around for years and first came to my attention on the Perfecto label. This is not as dancey as the usual stuff, but it is a good filler track nonetheless. You won't hear this peak time in your average club as this is more of a starter. Takes a while to get going, but once it does it has all the customary Quivver noises and feel to it. Nice.

Comments I like this, it's different. If you like your tunes a bit slower and quite spacey, then go for this one. It moves along at a nice 133 BPM and has some really cool space effects throughout. There's some trippy vocals that sound great when you turn it up. It is a bit samey in that you've heard it after 4 mins, but there are some nice breaks thrown in for good measure plus some nice synths.

Comments Platipus are certainly churning out some tracks at the moment and these 2 seem to be involved via remixes on most, so it's nice to see them 'go solo'. This is a quality trance tune that will go down big in the clubs. It's a pacey 138 BPM little number that has all the right things nicely blended together. Good solid beat, the occasional vocals and that nice euphoric feeling. My only moan is that the middle 'pause bit' is a bit too long. Saying that, once that ends its a good few minutes of solid music. Well worth it and well done to the Platipus gang.

Comments When the original of this came out many years ago it was brilliant. Then it was featured in The Matrix and this time round it's again been vamped up for Part 2. I like the blend of classical and breakbeat, but the original original is much better. This seems to go round in circles and not quite have the desired effect. That said, a Matrix film without this wouldn't be the same. There's also a Dino Lenny Mix doing the rounds which is OK, nothing brilliant.

2/5 : Not Bad
Artist Cor Fijneman ft Jan Johnston
Comments A typical sort of Johnston vocal tune with all the usual Tiesto elements. I can't quite make it out as it has potential, but when it starts to get going it just slows back down and starts playing all these stupid noises. This will be a big club hit as it is solid and has a good beat, but for me it's a bit too confusing in that there's too much going on. A more chilled version would be nice.

Comments Taken from the recent movie Matrix 2, this kicks ass in a big way. This is Oakie going back to his roots and producing a decent quality dance number. Gets straight down to business, no messing around. Love the middle bit that goes all quiet and moody and then bang it's off again. The downside is that it's too short, but don't let that deter you.

Comments This is a simple methodical progressive house track. Nothing special, but it has that something about it that I quite like. It only runs at 129 BPM, but the beat seems to move quicker. This would be a good opener to get people going.

2/5 : Not Bad
Artist Three Drives
Comments Not bad this, if it was a bit longer it would be a great track. From the makers of 'Greece 2000' comes this nice bouncy number. You get 4 mixes for your money ranging from the hard club track to the more dancey number. I prefer the Nu NRG Remix as it has a bit more purpose to it. Strange for me as it runs at 141 BPM which is quite fast, but the others just keep stopping and just when it gets going, it ends.

Comments This is a superb tune and one that I absolutely love to bits. I'm becoming a fan of Ronski Speed and his remixes as he brings that extra something that just lifts the track. This is exactly what happens here. A simple, but effective beat and the purest of synth work and you have an absolute stunner. I don't know what it is, but this just grabs you by the ears and strangles you with sound, the simplest of sound. I like the pure approach as it generally always works. 9 minutes of pure sound, an essential.

Artist 2 Players
Comments A bit slow this one, which is a surprise for 2 Players. A solid trance tune that has everything that you want, but just not enough of the really good stuff. It huffs and puffs and threatens to really punch you in the face, but just dies on it's feet. Once it is off and running, it hits a good high and then comes straight back down to earth. A disappointing effort.

Comments Never heard of this fella, but I like his sound. Very fresh and funky tune that gets down to business within 90 seconds; which I well like. Has a very anthem feel to it, which is very euphoric and triumphant; made the hairs stand up for me. The drum work is really good and accompanies the main tune really well. The best thing about this is that there are a couple of main tunes that all eventually blend together into a really awesome chorus. If you don't get into this tune, then you need your hearing tested as this really kicks big time. It's not a stunner, but this is a really well produced club tune that is awesome when played loud. Great tune.

Comments This is a strange tune this, it comes across as being a bit sad; in the feeling. It moves well and has a nice tune to it, in a rather odd sounding sort of piano noise. Doesn't suffer too badly in the stop / start region, but just feels like it's sad. It sounds really daft, but I just can't put it into words. It's a good tune and one I like, it's a bit samey and doesn't change form the design very much; but it's still a worthy addition to any collection.

Comments This has one of them irritatingly catchy little tunes that you will hum for days. It starts almost straight away with a nice gentle build up, introducing the main sound throughout the tune. The main chorus is pretty good, all be it samey. The main tune changes tunes here and there and is then helped with an extra bit of funked up beat. This is basically a good tune, that neither screams excellence or lacks direction. It's an awful word, but average sums this up quite well.
