Artist Foreign Force
Comments This is a fairly bizarre tune in that it does change around quite a bit. Starts with a good solid beat and then goes all weird and then goes back to the good stuff. It works and breaks the tune up quite nicely, which is a very good thing. This is a happy tune that sounds good and not much else. The themes are nice and long which I like and it does move well, but it's a bit samey and to be honest at time sin sounds a tad cheesy. A good tune, but not one they blew me away.

Artist Albert Vorne ft. Mentae
Comments I'm used to a much mellower tune from this artist, so this was a very welcome break. This only takes a minute before it's laying down a rather funky beat and piano number, which is good. Got some nice noise work going on here as well, not too much; just enough. When this is in full flow there is a really good aura about this, it just oozes happy. I love listening to this loud in the car and you can really hear what is going on. The other good thing is it's a nice long one that keeps the pace throughout. A great tune.

3/5 : Good
Artist Varian
Comments This suffers from a slow build up, which is annoying. You are 4 minutes in before you get a taste of this, but it is worth the wait. There is a really cool piano accompaniment in this, which is something I like a lot. has a good feel to this once it's moving. The beat is good and there is a nice flowing feel to the main chorus that just pushes this along at a nice pace. The beginning takes too long and the gap in the middle is too long, which just slows this down a bit too much.

Artist Altitude
Comments Nice feel to this tune. It has a good progressive build up with a nice eeir sound to it. Good work on the synths which gradually get louder and louder and take over the whole thing. Some useful sort of wailing in the background, which adds nicely to the feel. This eventually turns into some sort of Turkish chanting, which isn't all that original ! The break works well, with the synths again taking over and building up the feel; plus the wailing. So, where does this go wrong ? It does take an age to get going properly, which is a shame. Once it is off, it doesn't last for long enough; which is odd bearing in mind the very long build up. This is a good tune and one that you should have a listen to.

Artist Kyau vs. Albert
Comments This gets down to a good funky beat very early on, which always impresses me and gives me that impression that I'm in for a real treat. Fortunately, I was. This is a real anthem if there ever was one. The beat is simple enough it just has that catchy tune running in the background that you will be humming for weeks. There's also some very subtle wailing vocals thrown in for good measure which basically churn out a real happy tune. This doesn't break new ground in anyway, it just builds on what works. There are a few too many pauses for my liking which do kill it a bit; but a really nice tune.

Comments This is on Lange's label so I was curious to find out if it was him under another guise, but I don't think. Has all the typical Lange feel to it, good solid pumping beat that gets going very quickly. This also has some nice noise work in the background, which actually make up the foreground it's that well done. Very progressive and this is a really strong element and big plus to the tune, It builds up quite quickly, but with lots of different sounds which keep that interest high. In the middle there is a weird piano break which almost sounds totally out of place ! Later in the tune the real colours show with an awesome trance track, that are making my hairs tingle as I listen now. This is a monster tune that has so much in it, so much that I like.

Artist Mike Koglin
Comments A very typical Koglin tune. If you want your trance nice and clubby, then look no further. This is nothing overly special, but nothing overly terrible. There's a nice piano break, but the main trance theme is a bit harsh on the ears in places. It's a shame as there's a few spots where a woman talks and you expect so much more than what actually happens. Don't be put off, have a listen as this is a good tune; it's just not one that blows me away.

Comments Don't see much of Lange as an artist so it's always good to catch a remix of his and this is up to the usual expected standard. This is an unusual tune as it takes quite sometime to kick in, but has a nice build up. The vocals are OK and there is some nice reverb work on them in places, which sound good. In full flow this is a really superb tune that just flows so well and sounds exceptionally good on the ears. It's a shame about the long winded build up otherwise this would have been a stunner.

Artist The Rapid Eye
Comments This is quite a deceptive tune. It starts well, all be it drawn out, but then changes direction. This is a really good tune, but the sound holding the good stuff together doesn't fit. When this is off and running, I like it a lot. It's a shame you have to listen to over half the track to get to the good stuff and then it just doesn't last out for long enough. This is a tune crying out for a really good remix. I don't say that likely as Astura is a stunning producer, just not on this occasion.

Artist Realm F vs. Rankey
Comments This sounds different from the off and the ?wailing woman? actually works quite well. It doesn't go overboard and there is enough else going on to perk your ears. I can't quite make out where you would categorise this as it's a bit peculiar. Nice bouncy beat and all the other weird stuff. This is just odd and so very different to other tunes. I'm not sure I totally like it, but as far as being different it gets 10 out of 10.

Artist Gate 42
Comments Within the first few minutes you have a solid flow of sound and a nice feeling about this track. Nothing special, but it's a nice blend of what works and synths. Then it just stops on you and throws out some weird spaced out noises and then continues where it left off. This builds up nicely with some real ?in your ears? noises that will wake up anyone who isn't listening. These go on for a fair amount of time, but the pace does seem to slow down a bit. A welcome change and worth adding to the collection.

Artist Passiva
Comments Generally an artist I've come to respect in that what he produces is solid stuff and this is no different. Very good solid chorus which goes on for quite sometime and has a nice different vibe to it. Buzzing sound that really gets in the brain, quite effective really. Strong beat and an overall good feel to this tune. As with so many, this is let down by a very slow start and only one dancey bit, which is a real shame. Shame as the remixers are of a good background and they should have picked this flaw up. Good though.

Artist John O'Callaghan pres. Mannix
Comments I do like this artist, but he's one of them that really annoys me as his tunes are so temperamental. This is solid from the off, which is always a very good sign. However, the tune does falter a bit in that it takes almost 5 mins for the real sound to get laid down. This is fast and furious and sounds great, shame you have to wait so long. An even bigger shame is that it just doesn't last for long enough. A good tune that could be much better.

Comments I've heard quite a few mixes of this and apart from this one, they aren't really all that good. This has a really nice classical feel to it once it gets going, one that is nice and happy. Yeah, you know that euphoric feeling in the early hours, well this is just that. It's got a nice funky beat that will make them toes tap and the chorus is hands in the air time. Good stuff.

2/5 : Not Bad
Artist Alex Smoke
Comments This reminds me of a tune that came out ages ago called ?Underwater?. It was a really simple tune that used a piano really well to sound ?fishy?. This is very similar and has a very grand synth in the background that builds the tune up to some very different sounding piano work. That's the bit that appeals to me; the rest is fairly run of the mill. Worth a listen if you fancy something very different.
