Comments Haunting melodies are the main essence of this little number and a really cool drum beat that just purrs !! Takes a while to get moving, but it works quite well as there are enough little tasters to wet your appetite of what is to come. Once it does get going the beat and synth work really well, with a nice twangy feel to it. I mentioned the beat, this is what really keeps this afloat with some nice different and changing tempos. A good tune all round and one you should add to your collection.

Comments One of Armin's many guises and follow up to the huge tune ?The Sound of Goodbye?. This is a really good tune, what you would expect from such a quality producer. This is just pure trance music at it's very best. Got some lovely subtle synth work in the in the mina chorus, which on top of the thumping bass line; just take this way up there. There's also a really good different beat in the middle, which breaks the tune up really nicely. Just adds that little something extra that you weren't expecting. Not much more to say really, just buy this; you won't go wrong.

3/5 : Good
Artist Kyau vs. Albert
Comments I have stumbled across these guys a few times and have generally been impressed with their stuff. This is very much on the club / chart edge as it has a lot of reverb going on, which to me is a bit cheesy. Very slow to get going this one, in fact almost half the tune has passed before anything happens. It has a good solid chorus which consists of a beat and synth and then it's sort of ruined by male vocals. Never understand why men sing as women sound so much better. This isn't a real downer, but it would be better without in my opinion. The fact that the second chorus is different saves this from the scrapheap, there's an extra synth that's been added which really gives this a lift.

Comments As far as a Plastic Angel remix goes, this is fairly tame for him; but a wonderful little number. Very atmospheric and very melodic. No banging bass lines or throbbing synths, but just a melodic and well produced tune. Good beat and excellent synths and a really cool sound and feel to the whole thing. My moan is that it isn't long enough and there's only one chorus, failing that a top tune.

Comments Nice one. Bit squeaky in places, but nothing that you can't put up with. Nice solid beat that runs at a fairly fast 140 BPM. The main chorus is quite vicious, goes straight at it and doesn't stop. Got some strange noises in places which does get a bit confusing, but it is quite different, which always makes a change. This is a nice tune that would go down well in the clubs. Worth a listen.

Comments A real trippy tune this, heavy on the reverb piano and the 137 BPM. Once this is in full flow it really is a breathtaking tune. I don't generally use such a phrase to describe a tune, but this is just, well, lovely. If there is ever a tune you'll want to listen to, it is this one. Solid beat, great synth work, a haunting background and it's long. None of that good bit for a minute, this keeps going. A must have in your collection.

Comments Great tune with several excellent remixes. A nice funky number that really packs a serious punch when it gets going. The PP Remix just edges it as it has better club feel to it and I like the way it builds up. Cor Fijneman gives it a much harder edge which is in itself really good, but takes a while to get going. The vocals aren't too bad for a change, in that they work. The thing that lets this down is that it keeps stopping for the vocals rather than thundering on with the main chorus. A great tune nonetheless.

Comments I broke my golden rule over this one, in that it charted. If something charts it gets discarded, but there are some really nice mixes of this. My faves are Armin's and Above and Beyond. Both are really fresh sounding melodies, nothing too heavy, just mellow yet funky. The vocals in places sound awful, but you can forgive them on the most. This is a typical club tune that will / has done really well. By keeping it simple and faithful to the cause, it works. A refreshing tune.

Artist Descent
Comments Catchy this, although it does take an age to get going; which I hate and it lets it down. Once it does start up it has a very fresh sounding beat and tends on the somewhat space sounding side. Some of the repeating vocals are a bit annoying, but nothing terrible. I would put this as something that could be used as a warm up tune, if you know what I mean. It's nothing fantastic, just a bit catchy.

Title Reach Out To Me Fred Numf Mix

2/5 : Not Bad
Artist Mike Hiratzka
Comments Fred Numf has been around for some time and is generally a good remixer. This is OK, nothing special. Very much on the house tip, with a fairly bland beat that rambles along at 133 BPM. There are some vocals thrown in for good measure and the middle bit does try to pick up the tempo. If you like your house average, then take a look

Title Deep Forest DJ Misjah Mix

2/5 : Not Bad
Artist Roelz
Comments More house music with a slight fusion of tribal. Nothing special and the middle lapse is really irritating, especially the noise that keeps playing. Once it gets going it is solid and will make you tap your feet. That is where it ends as it just doesn't do anything else. Very average progressive house music, nothing more, nothing less

Comments This lays down a beat very quickly and gets you right into the action. From the offset you know where you are with this, but not where you are going. It stops and you get a snippet of someone talking in space, which is brill. It then lets fly with an awesome ferocity. Smacks you in the face and then goes down on you, it's that simple. This just keeps going and the tempo sounds like it's getting faster which just makes you pray for more and there is a god, because there is. This is a fantastic tune, but why o why isn't it even longer !!

Comments This is a real corker. It moves brilliantly and has a real feeling of purpose. There are some great noise going on in the background and the build up is of the highest progressive quality. This kicks in twice, first off is just a taster with the drums and synths pleasing your ears. It then ups the tempo and delivers a real stinging anthem, which I just love to bits. It enhances the sound with some wonderful background synths that just life this right up there. This is euphoria at the top of its scale, brilliant.

Artist Chakra
Comments Classic if there ever was one. This is one tune that I will remember for a long long time as I absolutely loved it when it came out. There was something about this record that stirred a serious passion and it took me ages to find out what it was. A good solid house tune with some very good vocals, although by today's standards it has slipped a bit. There were several very good mixes of this, with this being one of them.

Title Never Be Lonely The Realm Mix

2/5 : Not Bad
Artist Vertigo
Comments This is very different to my usual taste. Edges very much on the techno tip and has some strange male vocals thrown in for (good) measure. Not sure why I have this, but the chorus is quite catchy. It gets a nice lift from some triumphant synth work. This is a real driving record to be honest, one to put the foot down to. Not a classic trance or club tune, but an OK one for the motorway.
