Title Reverence Darren Tate Mix

3/5 : Good
Artist Hemstock & Jennings vs. Adam White
Comments A cross between a dance trance and something that Enigma would create. This is pretty good, although the pause in the middle is a bit irritating. Strong beat and bassline make this come across very powerfully, with purpose. I mention the middle as although it is fairly atmospheric, it drags out and consumes quite a lot of the tack itself. Once that's over and the beat kicks in, it still drags a bit to actually get going. I think they artist has tried to be a bit progressive, but it just doesn't work at this pace. A solid tune and worth getting, but do listen first.

Comments I like Gareth Emery so was hopeful on this one. This moves well and delivers a nice trance sound, all be it a bit flat in places. When the synths kick in this really gets a major lift and sounds quite wonderful. There's a sort of whistling going on which sounds superb and just makes you want more. It really is a simple tune, but it just works so well. There's nothing overly complicated going on, which is nice and you do get some nice long choruses; which is brill. Well worth getting this.

Title Emotion in Motion The Thrillseekers Remix

3/5 : Good
Artist Witness of Wonder
Comments All the hallmarks of The Thrillseekers this, so that ain't a bad thing. A very trumpety sounding tune, very triumphant and the beat moves really well. That said, the middle bits are a bit moody and down in that it slows down quite a bit before starting back up again. The main sound is throughout, which is a bit annoying as you do feel that you need a rest from it rather than all the time. This is a real epic club number and is hard enough to make the bass really pump and hurt your face !

Title Conspiracy Original Mix

3/5 : Good
Artist Rank 1
Comments One of the three unreleased tracks from the Symsonic album and quite a nice little gem. It's the not usual stuff you'd expect from Rank 1, which is why this appeals as it has a real catchy break throughout, which sounds very different for them. The main chorus is a run of the mill dance chorus with a synth and a good beat that varies slightly. It moves with a good pace and has a purposeful feel about it. I like the way the tune stops abruptly, sounds like the good old of spinning your vinyl backwards.

Artist Greg Murray
Comments I wasn't a huge fan of Greg Murray's first tune 'I feel Loved', but this is oh so different. This is an absolutely fantastic tune, that comes with 3 great mixes. This moves along so smoothly and has a great futuristic sounding synth anthem that is so good. The Club Mix is very much on the club tip, quite pacey and up there. The Deep Mix is just that, deep. In fact I wouldn't call it deep, I'd say ambient and it is so chilling. The Original does sound a bit dated, but there is a really cool in your face organ that just rocks. This is a top tune, with 3 great and very different mixes.

Artist Agnelli & Nelson
Comments Hhhhhm, this is not bad. Let me get the vocals out of the way, they are bloody awful. Probably the most out of tune I've heard in sometime, although they don't actually ruin the tune too much. I don't know what drugs the producers were on, but I want some !! This is a very typical A&N tune, great beat, well put together and an absolute cert to do well in the clubs. The Original of this has way too much singing, so melt that version immediately and shuffle on over to the Club Mix. This is almost as bad, but for some strange reason it just sounds better. A great tune that would have been a stunner, but for the squealing. O yeah, good to see Alex Gold worries about his website; it's only been under construction for the best part of 2 years !

Comments I got the Greg Murray Remix of this back in Nov 2002, which scored 3/5. This is better, but still very cheesy. Although it's cheesy in a nice way. Still has the nice and mellow piano, which I really like. The beat has been funked up to 139 BPM and there's all the usual FC traits that you've either come to love or hate. This has been a monster in the clubs and this will continue to be. Happy happy euphoric trance music, that's what it's all about; isn't it ??

Title Sunday Afternoon Original Mix

This text will be replaced by the flash music player.

3/5 : Good
Artist G&M Project
Comments This suffers from slow to get going syndrome, but in a rather pleasant way as it's quite teasing. All that teasing is very worthwhile as when this lets rip, it throws a serious 138 BPM at your lug holes that really rocks. Like a lot of tunes I've heard lately, very simple and effective. I quite like this approach, especially if there;s just a few new ideas thrown in for good measure; which this has. It could do with being longer as the main chorus doesn't go on for long enough, which is a real shame. This needs a remix.

Title We Can Be Like They Are Original Mix

1/5 : Poor
Artist JEC
Comments Quite irritating this one. The only reason I pained my eyes to the end was because of the label, which is usually pretty good. This was on an old Telstar album and to be honest that's where it should stay. The whole thing is just annoying, especially the major shrieking all the way through it. I'd avoid this and by a Britney tune.
Label Liquid Asset : Released March 2004

Title A Leaden Day M.I.K.E. Remix

This text will be replaced by the flash music player.

3/5 : Good
Artist Albert Vorne
Comments This is a real anthem type tune this. The only problem is that it takes a while to get going and then it ends. Once it's off and running I really like it, nice and simple with some nice constant noises going on and a progressive beat. Not the best tune to come of the Platipus production line, but not a bad one that I doubt won't have your feet taping.
Label Platipus : Released March 2004

Title Wake Up Monday & Silvester Remix

This text will be replaced by the flash music player.

3/5 : Good
Artist Paradise Soul
Comments This is very catchy in a sort of annoying way. Crawls along at 123 BPM, but has a nice moody feel to it that just catch's the old imagination and makes you listen to more. The vocals work nicely and just add to the whole mood and do sound quite cool, sort of adds a bit of tension; in a strange sort of way. Then half way through a whole new sound is thrown in and it sounds so good, so funky and yet so mellow. There's no way you'll hear this at prime time, but as a wind down tune; this is really cool.
Label Kinky Vinyl : Released March 2004

Title Syndrome Original Mix

This text will be replaced by the flash music player.

2/5 : Not Bad
Artist Ben Camp
Comments Typical sort of deep house tune you'd expect out of the Silver Planet camp. Very slow to get going, in fact its quite a slow tune throughout. Doesn't do too much apart from add some slight vocals and synths as it gets closer to the end. It's OK, nothing special and more for the deep house freaks out there.
Label Silver Planet : Released March 2004

Title Heart Original Mix

2/5 : Not Bad
Artist Seraphim Suite
Comments This is a real cheesy tune, but I like the nice happy feeling to it. Yeah, it's got vocals that rattle on aimlessly which I usually detest. To be honest, they ain't much cop on this either. So, what is it about this that made me put it on here. Well, it's the chorus. It is so happy and has a certain feel of power and euphoria to it. It works really well and mixes up quite nicely at the same time. It's a shame that what is around the chorus is so naff otherwise this would be quite good. This is also right out on a religious tip, which in the dance scene just doesn't mix; in my opinion.
Label Inferno Records : Released March 2004

Title Voices Eric Prydz Mix

This text will be replaced by the flash music player.

3/5 : Good
Artist Steve Angello
Comments This has a real techno fusion to it and even in places lends it way to the 80's. This is a real sort of disco number as it has a really bouncy feel to it and the sampling is very retro. In fact the whole feel to this is very retro and it does in places work quite well. This isn't my sort of prime time tunes, but as a warm me up I think this would be OK. The artist is Swedish and this does feel Swedish, as daft as that sounds. No, I don't mean I would expect to hear this on the latest hardcore movie, well, you know what I mean. This is OK and is worth a listen as it does offer a different sound.
Label Size Records : Released March 2004

Title It's Upto You Original Mix

4/5 niiiccceeeee
Artist Rank 1
Comments This lot are generally very solid when it comes to music and this keeps with that tradition. This is very heavy on vocals, although the instrumental as you'd guess isn't. The vocals sounds almost Irish which can be better and they aren't too bad and do actually add to the whole thing. As far as the rest of the tune goes, this is a 136 BPM monster tune. The beat is very simple, but in harmony with the vocals there are places where this really does lift you up to that next level. This also makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up, which doesn't happen enough. My moan, not long enough by far. This could be another 3 mins long and would still rock. Buy this, plus there are 4 other pretty good mixes doing the rounds.
