Title Vision of You Nick Muir Vocal Mix

3/5 : Good
Artist Cabala ft Michelle Chivers
Comments This is a surprisingly catchy number. Bounces along at a nice 132 BPM and even the vocals blend well with the whole thing. It's nothing out of the ordinary, but there is that something about it that appeals. I like the bassline as it is solid and seems to have a purpose, if you know what I mean. Definitely worth a listen.

2/5 : Not Bad
Artist Pappa & Gilbey
Comments This takes a while to get going, which is a shame. A very simple house tune, which I suppose you could call progressive due to its somewhat slow build up. The beat is a nice catchy number that just ambles along. There is a nice bit of synth work over the top, along with some nice drum work. This is OK, but very samey and a bit slow of the mark.

Comments Hhhhmmm, very slow to get going this. I find this a bit annoying as it's easy to loose interest in a tune if the first few minutes don't grab you by the nuts. This sort of starts and then stops, but you do get a wacky bit with someone talking about dreaming; which sounds quite crazy. It then sort of gets OK, but nothing overly special. Dreary would be a good word, but it does have the odd moment.

Comments From the off this just grabs you and sounds special and it doesn't disappoint. Sounds very reminiscent of an old Frankie Knuckles tunes in that there is a constant noise going on. Within 3 minutes this is rocking at a hard 140 BPM, which sounds much smoother. Great synth work really bring this one up and give it that all important euphoric feeling. My gripe would be the gaps, there aren't many; but they are a bit on the long side. A terrific tune nonetheless and one I would recommend.

Title All In My Mind Original Mix

3/5 : Good

Comments First thing that I dislike about this tune is that at less than 6 minutes long it isn't long enough. That is a big big shame as this has so much potential to be a monster track. Really kicks arse with a good solid 139 BPM, backed up by a real anthem type synth. This is one of them that you heard 10 years ago and loved, same tried and tested method and it works well. Shame about the length, which marks this down I'm afraid.

Comments Happy, happy music. If you are feeling a bit down, then put this one on. I remember hearing this on a beach in Spain and it just made everything look so much more sunnier. Daft, but true. Can't put my finger on what it is, but this has that hidden special ingredient. Good sound beat and some nice drum work to boot. The synth work is very varied and the main chorus just seems to flow so smoothly, so happy !! A few cold ones in the sun and this in the background, just perfect.

Comments Never understand why you get someone presenting someone else. A lot of the time it's usually another name they work under, but this is a real hard one to find. This starts really slow and you have to stay with it to get to the good stuff. Very progressive build up, although there are some nice pipe sounds along with the usual trancey feel.. Bit of a pause in the middle just as it was beginning to go and then the build up is a bit pro-longed for my liking. Once it's off and running it's OK. Doesn't do anything really exciting, just moves along at it's own pace. This is OK, nothing brilliant and worth listening to first.

Comments Two of my up and coming favourite artists, so what can they muster up together ? Well, this is really cool. Very trancey with an almost futuristic edge to it, which I like. Gets down to business early as well, so you don't have to listen tot a few minutes of drum beats. This flows so easily and sounds really good, especially really loud. It doesn't go out of it's way to try and over impress, it just lays down a good sound that works. There's a few helpings of this, it's just a great great tune; buy it.

Title The Promise Ronski Speed Remix

2/5 : Not Bad
Artist Rusch & Murray
Comments Ronski Speed delivers a half decent tune that suffers a bit from the 'same old same old? effect. Starts strongly enough with a powerful sound and then stops and introduces a welcome piano sound. Good build up around the piano to the main chorus, but by this point it has slowed down quite a bit. The progressive build up works well, but it does drag. The main chorus is really good, nice and long with plenty of feeling to it, although there is only one bite at that cherry. This has real potential, but is let down by what I consider are very basic mistakes.

Artist Palanya
Comments This starts really weird, in fact I thought I had the wrong tune playing sounded more like something in the charts than a dance number. Fortunately after a minute it sorts itself out into something more palatable. Odd sort of sound to this, it sounds a bit confused in places as if not sure what to do. It sounds OK, but the beat sounds out of synch and the childish vocals don't quite go with it. The feel is very much and old sound rather than anything particularly new; which sort of works. I am quite mixed on this and it does depend on what mood I am in. This isn't groundbreaking, but it's not bad.

3/5 : Good
Artist Maharishi
Comments This has a real nice feel to it. Good beat with some cool techno noises going on in the background. The downside is that it doesn't really offer much else. Ok, you get a nice sounding tune; but there's no real heart in this. Progressive techno would be a fair way to describe it, but the progression isn't very exciting. When it does get going it works well and fortunately goes on for quite a while. It's a shame the beginning is so lame otherwise this would be a really stunning tune.

Title Not With You Ronski Speed Dub

3/5 : Good
Artist Kyau vs. Albert
Comments Nice start this, gets down to business very quickly. Very fresh sounding and happy, which is always a good start. This has a good solid chorus, very typical of Ronski Speed. Moves well and has a nice feel to it, plus some very subtle vocals add to the ensemble. The downside is that once you are in full flow it doesn't last very long, which is a major disappointment. Worth a listen though.

Artist 8 Wonders
Comments I had to listen to this quite a few times before I decided I liked it, not sure why it took so long; I think it was the different mixes. Now I really like this as it's a good solid trancer, which is what I would expect from the artist and remixer. Good solid beat and a rather unusual synth that just give this the edge in the different department. Just about long enough and just about enough going on to make this a great club tune. I actually like the repetitiveness of the background sound as it just drives this along at a faster pace.

Artist Aalto
Comments Ooo, this sounds good. A nice piano accompaniment in the main chorus, plus the tempo changes pace which make this sound that extra bit special. On top of all this you get some woman wailing in some foreign language, which sounds good and adds again to the whole ensemble. This tune really is quite stunning as it has it all. Not only is the main theme long, there are two of them and they both change as they go through. This is an absolute must.

Comments This teases you. It starts with a nice beat and you get the odd bit on piano here and there. When you hear this you expect it to launch into a mass tune, but it doesn't. You then do get the whole thing, minus the beat and it then builds up to the whole thing together. This has a really good sound and there are some extra euphoric noises in places to lift this up. It works really well, just annoying about the start.
