Title Come Into My Life Sanz Remix

2/5 : Not Bad
Artist Joyce Sims
Comments This is a legendary tune to say the least. I remember going mental when this first came out in 1987 and I was a bit sceptical about doing a remix. Too many times classics have been tampered with and it hasn't worked and that's almost the same with this. All the original elements are here, but there is far too much ?funk? wrapped around it. Sounds more like something out of ?Breakdance : The Movie?. A shame as this had potential.

Comments This is a really catchy tune, but you have to bear with it. Takes a while to get going and then goes a bit barmy with some real weird noises and complete gibberish vocals. However, it turns into a really funky progressive house number. The vocals are a bit annoying, but the constant repetition does after a while grow on you. It does change the beat / feel quite a lot, which is also a bit annoying as you get used to one thing and off it goes again. Not brilliant, but good fun.

2/5 : Not Bad
Artist MK Connect
Comments A deep number this one, with a nice pacey beat to match. This is a good tune to start out with as the simple beat mixes nicely with most other tunes, plus it's quite catchy. One for the deep house boys and girls and one that I don't think you'll all be too disappointed with. Not my cup of tea, but I did listen to it quite a few times; so there must be something going on that's good.

Artist Bellone
Comments Don't turn this off when you first put it on because it does sound like ?Don't You Want Me? by Human League; it isn't. Another good progressive house tune that mixes up well and gets the toes going. There is also a really cool flute sound bundled up with some nice Enigma style gothic voices. I like this as it's nice and long and although the whole feel of the tunes stays the same, the build up changes it ever so slightly. Only a 125 BPM tune, but sounds faster. Doesn't matter as this is one to keep your eyes out for.

3/5 : Good
Artist Benz vs. Ebrius
Comments A very mellow tune this one. Very simple in the beat and not too many complicated noises going on in your ears. This is almost on the chill out tip, but the 130 BPM just keep it in the dance zone. I like this and it moves really nicely and because it isn't overly complicated you can just enjoy what the artist has done. If I have to grumble it's the middle bit. There's a pause for only about 20 seconds, but it totally slows it down; just after you were floating nicely. Don't get me wrong, it's a minor niggle from an otherwise good tune.

Comments I suppose Greece 2000 is this mobs best known effort and after this will probably continue to be just that. I'm very disappointed as when I first heard this it was OK. Now I have it and I can listen to it properly, it really isn't all that special. Plays too much on an overly annoying sound that just winds me up. Been there, seen it and heard it. OK, on the positive front the Bobina Remix isn't bad. Very much in your face, but it has a nice anthem feeling to it. DJ Cor probably gives the best offering with a fast paced number, but it's just that noise. It's a good tune, just cheesy.

Artist 4 Strings
Comments My word, vocals on a track that actually sound OK and I haven't been drinking ! This is a very typical 4 Strings number, if you like their stuff, then you'll like this. To be honest, there's nothing not to like. This is a nice happy happy tune that is clearly aimed at the charts. That said, the Sandler Remix is a really cool club tune that has all the cheese factor removed, thus making it even more enjoyable. The Manyou Remix is almost another tune altogether and a good one at that.

Title The Sun Is Shining Darren Tate Mix

2/5 : Not Bad
Artist DT8 Project
Comments I originally thought this was by the same mob who did ?Destination?, but this is another name for Darren Tate. That in itself isn't a bad thing at all, as I am a fan of the man. This is very much aimed at the cheese market, which is a bit surprising bearing in mind the artist. Full of well bad vocals that to be honest cripple most of the tracks. The pick has to be the Darren Tate mix as it is quite funky, although it also has vocals. Nice and happy along with a nice 'dub? chorus and to be honest in this version the vocals aren't too bad.

Artist Gareth Emery & John O'Bir
Comments Hhhm, a strange number this one. It's very nice, sort of trance meets chill out. By that I mean that the main synth work is quite 'spacey? in places and adds quite a strange haunting melody to the tune. Once it's off and running doesn't too much else, which is a shame. There are brief samples on a piano which would have been well nice if a bit longer. Bit stop start, but solid.

Comments Stunning. That's a really good word to sum this tune up. The beginning is very similar to Tiesto's ?Forver Today?; which is quite breathtaking. This is almost a perfect tune, there is just nothing about this track that I can moan about and that doesn't happen often. I love the way it stops in the middle and restarts as a very different sounding tune, quite brilliant. Very euphoric, this delivers that feel good feeling that I like. The beat is really superb, nice and bouncy and with the synths on top; well, it's just perfect. Just be this, you WILL like it.

Comments Nice and solid, that's what works and this works. The simple approach to music and yet again it works. A beat and some background noise, nothing more, nothing less. Moves nicely this and the alternating synth work just keep it going and keep you hooked into it. This is nice and long and the main chorus is repeated a few times, both of sufficient length that you won't be disappointed.

Comments Nice. This is a real epic tune, that makes them feet tap and them hands wave. Good solid hard beat, backed up by some nice drum work. There's a nice little taster early on about what is coming and then the obligatory pause, which builds up to the main onslaught. Some nice additional piano work and some really euphoric synths take this way up there. If you?re doing a ton in your car, don't listen to this as the foot will go down further !!

Artist Re:Locate
Comments Waterfall was a good solid tune and this follows nicely in its footsteps. A simple sound that doesn't crucify your ears with bass, just a nice beat that moves well. The big issue with this is that it isn't very long and there's only 1 chorus, which just isn't long enough. There's also quite a long and drawn out intro. It's a shame because what is there is good, it just needs some serious padding out.

Comments I like. It starts really well has that feel that you are in for something really special. Well, it sort of is in that what you get is a good solid trance tune; but it doesn't do enough for me to warrant a stunner. It sounds really good, don't get me wrong and there is enough going on to keep you interested. It's just if I had produced this I would have added some nice uplifting synths which would be the real cherry on the cake. As it stands, this is a really good tune that has a nice long them to it.

Comments One half of the legendary Cass vs Slide, so one I was looking forward to hearing. Shame, this is a really dreary record that just doesn't get up to much. It has its moment, close to the end, but apart from that this is a very slow paced house tune.
