Comments This has a really nice classic trance feel to it. You know that bouncy synth that it all started out with? That one. It moves along really well and has a nice feel to things, right from the off. The slowdown has a nice piano break in it, with the background leading you to sense that it's going to let go. It does, but quite tamely which I find frustrating. You get that nice early feel, with a bit more impetus; but nothing else until later on. This should have really launched into things, but by holding back it really lets the tune down. Not enough to discount I would add, as still a good vibe to this so worth a listen.

Comments I might just be having a bad hearing day, but both mixes of this are similar; which this mix just having the edge in the whole feel of the tune. Good swirling synths with a nice subtle acid sound in the background. Quite a euphoric track going for the epic edge, with the big sounds. When this does hit the anthem you get a whole loud noise, really bangs quite hard; but not overly. It keeps at it, doesn't alter too much; but then what you have sounds OK; so why mess with it. It then starts to end and you are left wondering what is going to happen with 3 mins left on the clock. It does kick back into another melody, which I was surprised about as a lot of artists wouldn't bother. If this melody had been different, this would have been a much better tune. For now, it's a solid club number.

Comments This is taken from the ‘Icarus EP' and offers a nice alternate sound to the usual. Firstly there is that awesome acid synth, but more current than the 80s. We then get a nice piano break, nice and solid sound. This then ends and goes back to our acid noise, with a simple short beat underneath. At this point you are wondering, what next? It again slows down, but this time with the piano it's more mellow and laid back; but not for long. Things kick off, but not as manic as you might think. Nice controlled synth bursts on the short beat. This sounds really nice and I have to admit to really liking this, when perhaps I shouldn't as much as I do. Long build-up and a nothing special melody, but there is so much going on in this track and it's that I like. Towards the end it changes again, for the better. Very well produced compilation of quality melodic sounds.

Comments Long tune this so you do have to wait. Not that the wait is painful, in fact the build-up is most pleasant. You get a very good intro to all the sounds the artist is going to use, very crisp and fresh. When it does hit the melody the combination of all this works a treat. The track runs at 131 BPM, but feels a bit more so from that it keeps a good pace. The melody is broken up into a few parts, with each having a slightly different edge than before. I really like the synth work in this tune and its clean crisp feel, a really good summer song.

Comments I really like this artist, I feel he pushes music right to the edge and isn't afraid to try something different. From the initial piano opener, you get a nice trance tune here; sounds nice on the ears. The beginning is a real good start, lots of sounds and real passion; the anticipation for what is to come is quite high. The break in the middle does dampen things a bit, but the tune soon gets going again with what you heard at the beginning. I love the way this is broken apart, looped back and forward and then just played normally. This isn't a classic tune, but in terms of what the artist has done it's a great piece of musical production.

Comments This is from a compilation album, but you can buy it separately; so good news there. This doesn't have a very inspiring start, just comes across as muddled and directionless. The slowdown has the most annoying synth I've heard in a while, bit full on and very much out of place. The melody kicks in and you do feel quite let down. Instead of this really going to town (as previous tunes have) it just stays quite flat. There are 2 melodies, but even with the extra in the second half; it just doesn't get going. It sounds like it's stuck in the second gear going up a steep hill. A real disappointment.

Comments This is a beach tune, very chilled and very mellow. This does remind me a lot of what I liked in the early 90s when Ibiza was the big thing, nice to hear again. Starts simple and builds upon this with lots of swirling noises and some really nice synths which give this its beach feel. When it gets going, you don't get too much more; but I wouldn't expect it. You do get a nice crescendo of sound, with some vocals elements here and there. The beat keeps it moving as does the intro of the extra noises in places. As far as a summer tune goes, then look no further; this is a really nice progressive track that seems to drift on for an age.

Comments I've opted for the other track from this ‘Warmer Days EP' as I felt it was a better tune, now there's a thing. This has that warm sunny beach feeling to things, hence perhaps the name. I love the synth in the background that gradually gets higher in pitch, nice touch. The rest of tune is fairly average, nice sounds here and there and an overall nice happy feel to things. It doesn't go mad, but then I guess it was never going to. An easy going sound, with simple synths and a simple beat line. It won't break any records, but it does have something about it that I like.

Comments This tune is a tease. At first I thought it was a bit too noisy, too much ‘bang bang' and not enough substance. How wrong I was. It slows down, but what you are left with is quite tantalising. It doesn't let you drift away; it keeps you on the hook with a great classic trance sound. This just builds up and you will know that what is coming is going to be special. Then it hits you. Full on trance at its best, just lots of passion and feeling through a few well-tuned synths. Annoyingly it slows down after the first melody and you are left a bit in limbo as to what is going to happen next. You do get back to the melody, but the slow in pace didn't help the track and this is its biggest flaw. Otherwise a real strong tune.

Comments With a song title like that of a Nintendo DS game, I was curious. All 3 mixes of this are actually pretty good and offer something different, quite a rare thing. You get a real fast and furious start with this, lots of good vibes and sounds; really nice. The slowdown is quite the opposite, but the passion and feeling within it really is quite exceptional and although it has stopped, you still feel the motion of the tune continuing. The tune soon gets going with a solid trance sound; nothing too complicated just a few synths on top of an ample beat. You get a piano thrown in late on for good measure which really seals the tune in terms of its quality. It would have been nice for the melody to have been longer, but I am greedy.

Comments A very progressive tune this, with lots of different synth changes throughout. The build-up is really quite intense and the melody once you get it is really deep on sound. It's very much what you get from the beginning, plus some extra bits here and there. The actual synth is fairly simple and the noise and vibe this delivers is again fairly simple. It doesn't try to do too much, which often works well and does in this case. I have heard a lot of noise about this artist, so look forward to future releases.

Comments Both mixes of this track are good and I struggled to separate them. This is a beautifully crafted progressive tune, with some real nice beats and a real nice feel. This gives a real warm feeling to things, but also a really good funky feeling; one that you will nod your head along to. The beat is really nice, I like the drums and how they work. The melody is really what you have already heard, but combined with a subtle piano break. This is an odd tune as in one mind it's very summery and the other winter due to its deepness. Would have been nice if this was a tad longer, but nice anyway.

Comments Beautiful start to this tune, very melodic and full of atmosphere; almost no beat at all. When it does kick in you know that what you are going to hear is laid back and progressive and that is very much what you get. I like the beat, very simple and in fact the whole feel to this is very simple. There are no loud synths bursting throughout, this is just a nice melody that builds upon itself in the most pleasant of ways. No real anthem as such, the whole tune is that; makes a nice difference. Summer is here and this is a good tune to have on, nice.

Comments Good vibes to this progressive tune. What I really like is the vocals, if you can call them that. They add a really nice depth and dimension to the sound. This rolls nicely into the main melody, which is kind of throughout. The rolling sound works really well, gives this some real energy and purpose. Listen hard and then is a synth in the background that helps this flow along so smoothly. A really surprise this, starts fairly slow; but really gets down to business.

Comments A fairly unknown label this, but based on this I will keep an eye out for other tunes. I like the synth in the background, keeps going throughout and gives the whole thing a sense of urgency; nice. The start to this is very promising, lots of energy and just about the right level of interest factor. The slowdown is that, a slow down; almost to a crawl. This takes a while to get going, but when it does you do get a rather wonderful melody of sound. Quite mellow and summery, but with that passion from the beginning; just different. Problem is that as it's really settling in, it fades out. I like this, but it could have been more.
