Comments This is taken from the ‘Group Therapy' album and is by far the best track, except for one other called ‘Sun in Your Eyes'. On the whole, the album is quite poor with their being far too many cheesy vocal tracks. The artists have lost their way in my opinion; the sound is now very commercial. Anyway, this is a real nice tune. I love the chanting, reminds me of the group ‘Deep Forest' from many a year ago. There's also a nice piano break in places, which add to the whole sound. This is quite a chilled tune, very relaxing; but with lots of passion and feeling. This sounds real good when driving at speed, very happy tune. I would look at getting this tune rather than the whole album, but then you may like the album so as always; it's your choice. The mark is for this track only as I would only score the album a 2.

Comments This was originally released back in 2002, with this new bootleg now coming to light and quite hard to get hold of as well. This is one hard tune and not for the faint hearted. The beat is relentless throughout this and pounds away at your brain right to the end. You know exactly where this tune is going and it goes exactly there. The main synth is constant as is the underlying subtle sound and this continues into what you could call a melody. This is basically just everything pumped up some more and thrown at you. Nothing really changes, it just keeps coming at you with the same sound and it works. This tune has a hard edge so it is kind of expected, but it's not a frantic sound just a constant one. This is a peak tune that will knock you for 6 and if you don't know what it is, you will be pretty desperate to find out.

2/5 : Not Bad
Artist Tiddey
Comments OK, I agree the title is a bit gay; but the tune isn't. However, this does have a very long and frustrating start; which is very tedious especially as once things get going it's actually a good tune. Good fresh synth, a nice trance like feel to things and an all round good feel. The melody doesn't really last long though, which with the long start really hampers this. A frustrating track that has all the right ingredients; but lacks the right ratios.

Artist Yodis
Comments This is the flip side to the ‘Luna Rose EP' and a better track in my opinion. This has a very trance feel to it, all the right synths are being used in the right proportions; basically going for what works. Good solid vibe to this, the whole sound blends nicely together and gives you that urgent trance effect. The melody lasts a while, just delivering the same sound; but as it's quite pacey it just ups the effect of what you are hearing. Not sure why there is a phone ring in the background? Sometimes being repetitive can work and it does in this case. So, if you are looking for a solid trancer; look no further.

Comments This has nice hard edge to it, touches on being quite tech in places. Remind me very much of early tunes by Nitrous Oxide, which I liked a lot. This very much picks up from there, by just delivering sound; in a large way. This just pumps a very solid trance sound at you, very much a club tune on the very tip of euphoria. It's one of them that you don't want to end, but alas it does (as all things do). The melody is long and unchanged throughout, but why change what works? This falls short on the length of the tune, which is a crying shame as it would have been a truly epic number. For now, it's just bloody good.

Comments I missed this first time round, but fortunately my good friend at Pulsar sent this over to me and I am so glad he did. This 140 BPM of pure dance floor mash up and one that will almost leave you breathless. It has subtle vocals and a very nice synth which teases you for quite a while, to the point of annoyance. It then launches what I can only describe as an onslaught of music on your senses. This just throws the sink, oven, microwave and oven at you and then comes back with more. It pauses at quite an irritating moment as you are in full flow, but this is soon put right with another tirade on your ears. This is no messing around hard-core trance music and one not for the feint hearted. It's not perfect as the pauses slow it down when you are in the zone and the start is a bit on the slow side, perhaps I'm being picky; but this is well worth the investment.

Comments Well, with a remix entitle ‘Atomic Fishflakes' I had to have a listen and am glad I did. This is a very atmospheric tune, very very emotional in its approach with lots of feeling. There is a very distinct synth which when introduced really cuts through the feeling, in some ways it doesn't work; but in others it really helps. This settles down into a very nice melodic sound, very consistent and kept in tune. The synth does come back, but with a lot more behind it in terms of backing sounds and it works much better. There is a really nice feeling to this, happy and sad all in one depending on what you want to hear. Not a club tune, although perhaps as people are winding down it would be nice. With a great remix name, you can't go wrong though.

Comments This has really fresh vibe to it, but is too short on the good stuff. The main riff is really funky, uplifting and euphoric; but it just doesn't last. This is a real crime as the build-up is really smooth, nice noises in the right places and typically teasing. When the main riff gets going it's a real ‘wow' factor, but it only lasts a minute. This needs an extra 60 seconds of the melody and it would be an excellent tune. As it is, it's a good tune; with lots of potential.

Comments A deceptive tune this, especially if you go on the first minute or so. Very ‘clicky' and not what you would probably think was any good. Please keep listening as this turns into a really uplifting tune. Things are kept very simple, with the minimum of fuss; but that just helps deliver the crisp sound even more so. This just grabbed me when I heard it, it's not an outstanding tune; but the simplicity makes it a very good tune on your ears and senses. The melody is just a combination of all the ‘clicks' that you hear and it sounds really good. Short and simple in this instance work really well.

Comments Stumbled across this artist on a few occasions, usually as a remixer so was interested to hear what he was as an artist in his own right. Happy to report that this is a very good tune. I like the intro after a few minutes of the main synth and lots of piano, sounds really nice. Also like the added ‘acid' sound in places, have always liked that noise (brings back a few memories as well). The actually crux of the tune is a strong sounding tune, very euphoric and with lots of atmosphere. Uplifting and with purpose and it changes mid-way, that extra tempo I like so much. A quality tune.

Title Still Solarstone Remix

3/5 : Good
Artist Aly & Fila feat. Sue Mclaren
Comments This isn't usually what I would go for; it's vocal and quite commercial in its sound. However, there is something here that I like. The beat is great, it has a real catchy sound throughout; small sharp bursts. The melody is also really nice; it flows well and doesn't break up the rest of the tune. I suspect that this is the Solarstone touch and it's nice and subtle. This is a smooth sound, not a peak sound in the clubs; but one for calming down to. Nice on the ears to chill to or just something happy sounding that will make you tap your feet. Worth a listen.

Title Memory Running Man Dream Mix

Artist Chasing Dreams
Comments This has a very different synth to ‘normal' tracks; it almost sounds like a rock guitar. In fact, the whole tune is quite different in how it sounds. In places it is almost as if it is being played through an echo box. That aside, the sound is a good sound. The main anthem, although not overly noisy; moves well and you get a bit of the guitar to help things along. The bass line is quite a thumper and there are very few breaks, so it all runs nice and smoothly. The downside is that once you have heard the first minute that is all you get. The tune doesn't change too much in what it offers; which is a shame.

Comments Taken from a 3 track compilation, this is the best of the bunch. Good predictable beat, pretty much the normal sound these days. It does have a nice freshness about it; the sound is very crisp and clear. The melody when it kicks in is a very simple synth that pumps out a nice noise, but with the added bonus of being quite long. It does at one point sound like it is going to end, but continues with a nice piano break being added to the mix. This is a really catchy tune and one that you really should take notice of.

Title Bliss Sequentia Remix

3/5 : Good
Artist Proyal
Comments Good hard start to this, which is then calmed down to a nice ambient piano break; quite the opposite of each other. That said, you can still hear the real tune underneath and soon enough it resurfaces it quite a different format. A nice peaky synth gets added to the mix which soon forms the main sound of the melody. This also gets a different type of piano added, which all together had a very nice sound and feel to it. The disappointment comes when it doesn't last very long, which is really annoying. This has all the elements of a great tune and needs another minute or so to really ram home the great sound. Still a good tune, just not great.

Comments This originally came out in 1997, so good to see such a classic getting a re-release. This does suffer a bit in its sound, but this is still a great tune. The vocals/chanting are fantastic and are one of the key elements that make this track. The other is the oboe synth, brilliant. Underneath all this is a really good beat, very 1990s so not as tech as now; bit none the less a very good sound. At 10 mins long it also holds your ears really well, it's not too samey and offers different bits throughout. This is the type of music that trance was born from and for that this gets the upmost respect.
