Comments Really deep and growly noise this one. You have to keep listening as it does get a lot better as things progress. Some really nice noises here, lots of weird and wonderful ‘plips and plops' that just come straight out of the blue. The melody is really passionate and the second half really throws down a fierce beat, it's a real head banger type sound. The downside is the track doesn't last too long and there is only the one melody, which (as I say so often) is a real shame. Good tune to warm the crowd up or mix in the funky stuff.

Comments OK, first thing to note is that all the other versions of this are awful; so to find this little gem between them all was quite a surprise. This has a fantastic beat and bassline, a very old school feel. Pacey, but with lots of feeling and lots of meaning. Everything sounds quite retro and the synths in places sound like strangled guitars. The whole feel to this is so right and it works so well. It's not trance at all, this is a great dance track that will have them feet going. It's very different and very good.

Comments This is a nice tune. Good solid start, with a nice quick introduction into what is in the offering. Very fresh sounding, slightly squeaky in places; but the whole ambience flows just right. The synths are well pitched, with a nice even sound to them. The melody is a tad on the short side and is broken up, which is quite annoying. The end is really weird, you think it's ended and it starts back up; but there's absolutely no point in it doing so. This would be a quality track if the middle wasn't broken up and the ending was shortened.

Comments Been a while since I got a tune from this artist, one who in the past has delivered some of the best music I own. This is a very mellow track. The beat and feel is quite pacey, but the synths are quite smooth and soothing and it has that ‘beach' feel to it. It doesn't really explode like it should. It's quite drawn out and about 2 minutes too long. It's a nice tune, but I'm used to better from this guy. There are also a lot of different mixes, which aren't really all that. This is a good tune, don't get me wrong' it has a place in the clubs; but not as a real monster tune.

Comments This is a nice happy, bouncy track. First half delivers a good solid start, nice beat with some nice synth work in places. The ‘pause' then brings in the real essence of the good stuff. This has the obligatory build up, but it work s well and tempts your appetite for me. The melody is quite long, broken into a few different parts with each nit offering a tad more than the previous. It's a nice sound, nothing spectacular; but a nice sound. There you go, if you want a nice sound; look no further.

Comments I find this a bit hit and miss, depending on my mood. It's got a nice start, with some quite deep synths in the background; but these are then ‘overwritten' by a really screechy synth and it really hurts the tune, When this synth ends, some very mellow softer synths kick in and you think that's what is to come, kind of. Things look promising, but just don't get off the ground. The melody gets drowned out by another ‘not so good' synth and again this really hurts the tune. Bit disappointed with this, sounds a tad rushed in places; but in others it really works well.

Comments This is taken from the Sea Tides EP, which has a pretty good offering of 6 tunes. This is different and quite deceptive at the same time. It starts with a real pounding beat and then slows down to almost a standstill, before it gets going again. It's this that I liked as it was such a contrast for the tune and added a nice happy (or should I say emotional) feel to things. The main anthem pounds away at 139 BPM and has a good synth piece backing it up whilst adding an uplifting feel. It does get a tad sickly, which isn't something I say often; but it could have been pumped up on the synth side to really ram the sound home. A good tune on a good EP.

Comments I like the acid undertone to this and the synths start right from the beginning and build up in terms of volume and intensity. It does drag out though; a lot shorter would have worked much better. Anyway, you soon get to the melody and it's a pretty good one. Pretty much the build up, plus a more structured bassline. It's not ground breaking, but it sounds clean and crisp on the ears and works for me. There are two melodies, both pretty much identical; but at least there are two. All in all a good track.

Comments Well, I can honestly say I had a bit of input into this one; so many thanks Michael for listening to me. Michael has been sending me his tunes for a while, in fact he sent me an album a few years back which I still listen to now, it's that good. This is quite different in terms of mellow (ish) start to quite a manic end. Great start really sets the scene that it's that sort of late night tune; to bring you back down. Very ambient feel, but with a good solid beat. Synths cut n and out, keeping up that ‘beach' type feeling. The tune then starts to get all progressive on you, a great drum kicks in which really ups the tempo; then the beat fades out to be replaced with a very smooth synth. So, as you would guess this all then folds into a crescendo of sound. It is a tad on the noisy side, lots going on and it's one of them tunes that you have to listen to a few times to really hear everything. The nice long melody sounds really great. No real moans and groans, except it does end rather abruptly. That said, in the context of the rest tune it ends spot on. So why doesn't it score top marks ? It's a tad long and there's something very small missing which I can't put my finger on. That said an essential purchase as it is and for the first time on the site, the sample is 2 mins long, enjoy. Comments Bit dreary this. It has the odd moment, but even then they are a bit dreary. The beat is solid enough and there are some nice synths, but the whole feel of this is depressing. I'd play this at a funeral of a raver, not in a club. OK, perhaps I'm being a tad harsh, but you know when you hear something and your first impression sticks, this is it. It just needs some life breathed into to it, there is some good work here; it just needs jazzing up.

Comments Now, you have to put this into context. It's trying to be a mellow tune, but have a dance edge. It does and it doesn't work. The first half is a very melodic affair and it sounds good, very refreshing and very soothing. The second half throws the beat into the mix and with the synths, again it sounds good. The later part of the melody is further enhanced with some additional synths and a bit more of an up tempo. Throw the two halves together and they don't quite sit right, it's weird as separately they are pretty good. Have a listen as it's still a good tune.

Comments Two very good mixes here, quite difficult to choose between the two of them. This is a more punchy version, whereas the ‘Anthem Mix' has a much slower build up. The beat moves really well and the whole feel is just right. The melody is nothing outstanding, but it has that something about it that really stands up and grabs you by the balls. Very happy feeling, a very happy club tune I think is the best way to describe this. It's odd how sometimes you want lots of synths and drum lines, but this is quite simplistic yet delivers a fantastically fresh sound.
