Title The Oslo Syndrome Orignal Mix

This text will be replaced by the flash music player.

3/5 : Good
Artist Lemon & Einar K
Comments Takes a few minutes to really get going, but worth the wait. This is euphoric trance through and through. Throw the big noise into the mix and add a very subtle piano and see what happens. In this case, it's a really crisp sound; one that just does the business. There are two shots at the melody as well, although the later is broken up a bit, more for effect I think. It is quite short and more could have been done with the big noise sound as what there is either sound is quite flat in comparison. That all said, for the middle alone this is worth the money.

Title Parts of Life Original Mix

This text will be replaced by the flash music player.

3/5: Good
Artist Sound Keepers
Comments Wow, big loud tune this is. Fairly early on you get a big synth that really pumps out a loud and meaningful signal. There is no real melody to speak off, it's the whole tune. Very progressive in that it builds up, but from a very good starting place. The sound is really quite amazing and not heard all that often. It does verge on the tech side of life, but keeps one foot clearly in the trance camp. I like this as it's different, very bold and very different. This won't be for everyone as it's loud and not euphoric, but if you want something that will make people stop and listen, look no further!

Artist D:FOLT & Paul Trainer
Comments Looking for club trance? Look no further. Temple One dish up a fantastic remix of a tune that on its own is still good. Solid sound from the start, with some nice subtle broken vocals thrown for the atmosphere. Beautiful melody that flows so smoothly into the brain, very nice. Shame it only has the one melody otherwise this would have been pure gold, for now; it has a few impurities.

Title Misgrey Adam Nickey Remix

3/5 : Good
Artist Sunny Lax
Comments A typical Sunny Lax tune. Great beat with a great melody. SO what's wrong with it then I hear you say? Well, it's nothing new for the artist. Take a formula that works and spit out another track. OK, it sounds good; but I've heard it all before. Sometimes, even though I might not like it; it's nice if an artist goes for something else. This is a typical club tune, the sort that all sound similar. Don't get me wrong, I like this; but need something a tad different.

Title On the Last Trip Original Mix

Artist DK Project
Comments I like this; in fact this is 1 of 3 tracks taken from an EP. Starts really strong this and continues in that vein throughout, has a touch of BBE as well, which is a good tribute to the past. This sounds different to the norm, which again is a good thing. The main melody delivers a great sound. It is quite busy, but there's a piano that calms it down and allows you to focus on what's going on. The melody also changes tempo as it progresses, which works really well. Also, just when you think it's going to end it throws another salvo at you; nice. This is a solid tune that you won't be disappointed with. The other 2 tracks on the vinyl are also good, so you really can't go wrong.

Title Purpose Original Mix

3/5 : Good
Artist Simon Pitt
Comments This is a good progressive tune. Don't expect a trance sound here; this is a solid house tune. There are some nice sampled vocals in places, which add to the atmosphere which is a tad on the dark side. To lighten this there is a piano in places, which works well and makes the whole tune feel right. There are 2 melodies, both up the tempo slightly and bring together some different sounds and to be honest it sounds OK. This won't stand out from the crowd in any big way, but it does have that little something in places which is what appeals.

3/5 : Good
Artist Super8 & Tab
Comments Can't say I've liked this ‘band' of late, so was wary of listening to this. Has a touch of the whale song about it, but keep listening. This does turn into a very nice melodic trancer, one that sounds both chilled and clubbed up. It does it's time to get to this point, but it's worth the wait. A very long melody, one that doesn't change too much; but it sounds good without having to. A really solid tune and one that surprised me very nicely.

Title Wanna Be Almar Club Mix

This text will be replaced by the flash music player.

3/5 : Good
Artist Alex MORPH feat. Michael
Comments Having a good run with this artist at present. This is a solid club trance with a nice touch of chilled thrown in for good measure. The beat is solid throughout and the tune has a nice ‘wave' type noise that gives this holiday feel to it. The melody in the middle is nice, not very long; but about right bearing in mind the overall feel for this track. This isn't going to knock everyone off their feet, but if you have a listen with a nice cold one and just let the sound do its thing; it'll grow on you. It did for me!

Title Journey to the Moon Extended Mix

This text will be replaced by the flash music player.

3/5 : Good
Artist Dave Chimny
Comments Taken from the Moon EP, this is a good offering; in fact all 3 tunes are pretty good. This isn't a real hard club stomper tune, but what it does offer is a consistent sound throughout. The beat is solid and there is a nice simple synth that bounces along with things. The track is also quite progressive in that different elements are brought in, do their bit and they're off. There are also 2 melodies thrown in, with the later a much more passionate number; which works and sounds really good. The bit that's missing is that killer synth that really makes you stop and listen. For an 8 minute track, it's sorely missed. If this was to get a remix and one was added, then we'd have a really serious tune on our hands. IN the meantime, it's still well worth a listen.

Title Bushido Original Mix

2/5 : Not Bad
Artist Oen Bearen & Tranceye
Comments Hard trancer this one and long at that. I do prefer the more subtle approach to music, but now and then something comes along that catches my ear. The first half is a tad boring, but the later half does speed up quite nicely. The pace is quite hectic, but there is also something underneath it all that gives this an extra something. Can't put my finger on it, but it just sounds like it wants to do something and please you. It does fall a tad short unfortunately as the tune doesn't have any really melody to speak off and is too long. That said, if you want something a bit harder than the norm, look no further.

Title Fall in the Darkness Original Mix

This text will be replaced by the flash music player.

2/5 : Not Bad
Artist Psytrotune
Comments Odd tune this. It has quite a fanatic feel to it, yet once it gets going it's quite a mellow tune. Very simple in terms of noise. There's a beat (as you'd expect), a strange kind of whoosh synth to give the tune some depth and then in the anthem a more piercing piano type sound. It's not overwhelming in that it makes some noise and then ends. It doesn't leave you with that desire to play again straight away, more of a later on. It's short and simple.
Label Acuna Boyz Productions : Released November 2009

Title The Trip Original Mix

This text will be replaced by the flash music player.

2/5 : Not Bad
Artist Rohan Murphy
Comments This is an OK tune that could have been so much better. Reminds me of early PvD stuff in that it starts with a very solid beat that sounds fresh and meaningful. Unfortunately what then happens is that the tunes completely slows down. OK, I know this is normal; but in this instance it kills all the good work. You then get a simple synth that builds up to a pretty good melody; all be it only the one. Has that club euphoria feel to things, which always works in my books and there is an added uplift mid flight. Needs a remix to deliver the real potential.
Label Crystal Source Recordings : Released November 2009

Title Tingle Original Mix

4/5 niiiccceeeee
Artist Sean Tyas
Comments Great tune this, as is the flip side ‘Ivy'. Been a while since Mr Tyas has delivered what I consider to be worthy of his reputation. This is quite slow to get moving, lots of stop and start and first time I heard it I almost turned it off. Bear with things, you know when you're getting close as a very moog type synth creeps in. The main melody is a really vibrant affair. Lots of passion, pace and good noise! This all builds up and each break has a different sound added into the mix; each bit sounding better and better. It just keeps going and it just sounds really great. Shame about the start, but a very worthy tune for any collection.

Title Good Times Thomas Coastline Dub Mix

This text will be replaced by the flash music player.

2/5 : Not Bad
Artist Suncatcher
Comments This is a simple enough tune. Not groundbreaking or earth shattering by any stretch of the imagination, but a nice tune. Steady bass line with an equally steady noise throughout. The melody just enhances what you've already heard and goes on for a bit. To be honest, this is nothing hugely special. Would be a good tune to mix in and out of as a filler.
Label Crystal Source Recordings : Released November 2009

Title Undercover Original Mix

This text will be replaced by the flash music player.

3/5 : Good
Artist Diabllo vs. Paul Miller
Comments Good, solid back to basics trance; everything I'd expect from Paul Miller. Hard beat with a constant trance noise throughout. This is a tad distracting as after a while you do start to ask ‘what else is going to happen?' The melody does kick in and although it's nothing earth shattering, it does the necessary. Yes, you can almost predict what this track is going to do; but sometimes that's just as good. Rather than waiting for something to happen, you know with this that something will. Solid and dependable sound.
