Title Raindrops Original Mix

3/5 : Good
Artist Seismicbeats
Comments You know the type of trance that everyone at one time or another has a stab at ? Well, this is it; the good old tried and tested formula. Funky beat, pacey and uplifting synth work and two sound anthems. You've heard it before, but it's what made trance so good in the first place. A solid club tune, nothing special; just a solid club tune that you will like; just because it's the type of tune that most like.

Title Sun Worship Original Mix

3/5 : Good
Artist Sequentia
Comments This is a good enough tune for the clubs. Hard beat and passion and really cool melody. Lots of feeling and just the right amount of noise that you don't get brain ache. Nice synths added to change the feel and give it that extra lift, it works well. Only the one melody, which as usual is a real shame otherwise this would be a much better tune. Have a listen as I'm sure you'll enjoy.

2/5 : Not Bad
Artist Lange
Comments This guy used to be a legend, but then went all weird and techno. This is sort of on them lines, but you have to bear with and don't listen to the flip side Angel Falls first. This is quite a dark and moody tune, the synths are very deep and with the tech bass line isn't immediately a club tune. This is better than some of his stuff of late, but still miles short of what the guy is capable of. The synths are really nice and are what made me go back to this, but it's just disjointed and doesn't flow really well. Have a listen if you like your tunes tech.

2/5 : Not Bad
Artist N2O
Comments I have to admit to being a tad disappointed with this, bearing in mind its Nitrous Oxide. Lots of mixes by decent artists, inc. Kamil Polner; but none really deliver. This is slow to get going, although the beat does pound away and keep your toes tapping. That said, once it does launch it's a really fast and furious tune and delivers a real punch. It's just the wait I suppose as the anthem itself is quite long. It just needs some extra TLC and a quicker build up. A shame.

Title Far Away Original Mix

1/5 : Poor
Artist Paul van Dyk feat. Jessica Sutta
Comments The flip side to this, White Lies, is bloody awful and I almost didn't bother with this. It's not perfect, but it's certainly better. A much harder effort than the flip, but still not all that; especially for the artist. I remember all his very early stuff, which was the nuts. Now, much harder and more techie. Two anthems in here which are OK, they pound away and try and add a bit of substance; but don't really do it. Very disappointing from such a big artist.

Title Pure Destiny Original Mix

2/5 : Not Bad
Artist Polner & Sender
Comments A disappointing track again from Polner, this time with Eddie Sender. Takes ages to get going and stops a bloody lot of times to get there. This really does low the track down horribly and you will want to turn off. It's over 5 minutes in before something happens and it's not something that is particularly brill. The piano is nice and the beat is solid enough, it's just a tad on the dreary side. OK, it's a different outing for both artists, but I wouldn't have this in my prime time play list.

Comments From the minute this started, I knew I would like it. Moody kind of beat, with a touch of piano. It's quite a teasing intro as it's either going to be good, or a pile of shite. A really passionate anthem this, lots of feeling and some nice noise. Doesn't go overboard, but builds up nicely. This is euphoria as it has that nice uplifting feel, a funky beat and a good vibe. The second anthem storms in and just blows you away. I can't fault this record, so go buy it and play it very loud; those hairs on the back of your neck will stand up. A true anthem.

Title Overjoyed Store n Forward Remix

This text will be replaced by the flash music player.

3/5 : Good
Artist Solarsun
Comments This is quite a deep track. The beat is quite meaty and there's lot's of piano in between. Hard to fathom this one out, it's a progressive house track really; but a nice one. Lots of feeling and the piano and synths blend well, very reminiscent of Hydriod's early stuff. Pauses quite a bit, but that does sort of make the track up as it's here the piano kicks in and the synths get atmospheric on you, The anthem itself moves along nicely with all the right feelings. All round a good solid tune.
Label Afterglow Records (Promo) : Released July 2007

Title Metaphorique Ferry Tayle Neverending Story Mix

Artist Cape Town
Comments This is a really nice tune, very reminiscent of the old Café del Mar. This has a really cool haunting melody that draws you in and then keeps you there. It just pulses in the brain, if you get my drift. Lots of good noise, all well blended together. There are two very different melodies. The first is nice and subtle, easy going; whereas the second is much harder with more emphasis on the sound. The only thing I can fault this tune on is it's too long, almost 13 minutes. That aside, it's a beautiful combination of sound that works brilliantly.

Title Shadow Hearts Original Mix

3/5 : Good
Artist Miikka Leinonen
Comments I like this guy, always solid and reliable music and this is no exception. Nice thumping beat, which in places comes across as real hard and it sounds great. Two melodies to get to grips with, both very similar; but they have that little something about them. Very catchy and pacey with a real nice toe tapping feel about them. This is a feel good tune, with a great beat and two good melodies. You won't go far wrong with this.

Title Pictures Original Mix

3/5 : Good
Artist Seismicbeats aka Santoz
Comments From the off you know where you stand with this. It's a club tune through and through. All the trance noises, the typical trance pace and all the nice things we like. This is a good tune, although the synths at times sound way off. Good solid beat and nice uplifting feel, but it suffers from that same old sound that everyone goes for. This could have been a real monster tune if the artist had just done something different. That said, worth a listen as it's still a good number.
Label Shah-Music Digital : Released July 2007

Title Zen Saint Rush Remix

This text will be replaced by the flash music player.

3/5 : Good
Artist Solarscape
Comments Mellow would be a good word here, but then it's Solarscape. This mix does pump it up quite a bit and is probably the only mix to go near. Very progressive in my ears, builds up quite nicely through a melody onto another melody, but with a lot more sound. Very deep and passionate and one that you have to listen to quite loud in order to hear it all. A strange tune, because it's not quite main stream; but then it is. I like it as it's different to the normal approach; but again, it's Solarscape.

Title Symphonious Kamil Polner Mix

Artist Ryan
Comments This is a fantastic tune, with some excellent mixes. The Original Mix is well on a par with Polner's and should be bought and added to your collection. Has a bit of a historic feel, but loads of passion. Not a real thumping tune, just a simple melodic one. Lots of synths and background noises really lift this one up. As mentioned, the Original is totally different and much more fiery and in your face. A pleasure to listen to this one and a real surprise as well. A definite.
Label Amon Vision : Released June 2007

Title Love of my Life Kamil Polner & Sender Vocal Remix

This text will be replaced by the flash music player.

4/5 niiiccceeeee
Artist Cellec
Comments This is a strange one as I can't really tell the major difference from the vocal and the dub, except a bit of wailing in places. Either way, a top tune and one that delivers a real passion. One solid anthem and a really nice piano break at the end, really delivers a solid punch. Shame there wasn't more on the end as there are enough minutes left to justify, does drag to the end; but don't let that detract from a really solid tune with two other great mixes.
Label Kyr Records : Released June 2007

Title The Sunlight JPL Remix

3/5 : Good
Artist Breakfast
Comments Lots of raving about this one and to be honest I don't wholly get it. Yes, it's a nice and funky tune with a nice summer and retro feel, but then that's the recipe for any decent tune. This has a really uplifting anthem which is where people are going. Reminds me of so many tunes of old, that triumphant euphoric feel that will have you waving those hands in the air. It's a tad short of the anthem, which lets this down. Should have either been longer or two of them. A good tune and worth a listen.
