Title Exhale Sean Tyas Remix

This text will be replaced by the flash music player.

3/5 : Good
Artist Bissen
Comments I really struggle with the other mixes of this; fortunately My Tyas does, to a degree; save the day. This starts with quite a heavy tech feel, so bear with it. The beat is a real pounder and delivers a seriously hard feel. It doesn't take long for the tune to settle down and reveal its true sound, which is good. That said, there isn't a melody of such for quite a while; but the build up is quite cool. Good solid feel with some even more solid synths, very passionate and euphoric. The build does let this down and the melody doesn't last for long enough bearing in mind the wait. A good tune, but be wary of the other mixes.

2/5 : Not Bad
Artist JPL & Serp
Comments I had to listen to this several times to decide whether or not I actually like it. The other mixes do nothing at all for me, so avoid them. The more I listen, the more I'm not sure. Slow to get going and the main melody doesn't really smack in the face. It's OK and has potential, but it doesn't get to the heights that I like. That aside, it does sound OK and not too heavy on the noise front. The melody once it's moving is nice and long, although doesn't really change too much. This is again one of them to listen to first.

Title Worldwide Original Mix

3/5 : Good
Artist Mark Pledger vs. Super8 & Tab
Comments This starts with a really deep undertone, quite different for the artists involved. Then about half way through it changes direction and adds some nice uplifting synths to a long melody. The melody just keeps going and builds up as it does, nicely progressive. Good vibe and feel all be it a classic style club tune. I can't really fault this, but then I can't swing from the ceiling either. This is a solid tune and as said, definitely one for the clubs as it has that feel. Definitely worth a listen.

Comments I like this tune. A good healthy bouncy feel to this, with an equally healthy trance sound that works throughout. There's only the one long anthem, but it builds up really well and adds a nice subtle piano in places which lifts it up. This is a tune to play loud and in a confined space so you can really get to grips with what's going on. I had trouble tracking this down, glad I persevered.

Title Strings & Guitars Original Mix

This text will be replaced by the flash music player.

3/5 : Good
Artist Arctic Quest
Comments A mellow tune throughout this one, with a really strange synth to go with it. Not sure where the title comes from, but who cares as I do like this tune. It is very different to the normal trance stuff, this has a different sound to it. Lots of weird kind of space noises throughout, but it works well. Solid beat and the build up to the melody is good, with the melody being nice and long and varied. This is something worth a listen because not only is it different, it isn't half bad either.

Title Solaris City Fred Baker Remix

This text will be replaced by the flash music player.

2/5 : Not Bad
Artist Fred Baker & Greg Nash
Comments Bear with this as the initial beat does sound a bit naff, but it gets better. The tune pounds along and then unexpectedly stops with a piano piece, which is totally out of the blue. Things soon get back down to business. The beat is rather pacey and at times sounds a bit confusing. The main synth is quite lively, although it doesn't do that much as it's repetitive at best. When the tune should be exploding into your ear drums, it slows down. There is real potential here, it just needs unlocking.

Comments This is quite a meldoic tune, especially for this artisit. Nice beat with a good feeling. Subtle synth work throughout which gives this a nice fresh sound. The build up is nice and preogressive with synths building up on each other and then a mad drum up to the main anthem. This is a typical sort of trance sound, all the normal ingredients. Tempo changes mid way, giving it that all important extra push and then it changes again with even more power. All together a solid tune and one that won't disappoint.

Comments Not sure why artists do tunes under different names, but they do. Anyway, this is the fourth outing and not a bad effort. 5 mixes to choose from and this is probably the only one next to the Original that you'll want. Nice build up, with a real nice subtle piece of piano. This continues under a nice hard trance beat, but not too heavy. The big plus is that there are two bites of the cherry. Both almost identical, but this is really nice. Atmospheric, yet a real good club tune and one that I play a lot. A welcome tune, fresh and original.

Title Piano in the Rain Dub Mix

This text will be replaced by the flash music player.

3/5 : Good
Artist Insignia
Comments This is a nice mellow tune. Starts quite slowly with lots of rain noises, but gradually builds up to quite a funky tune. Bit similar to other tunes, but the synths in the background really do pull this along. There are some nice subtle piano noises as well and the whole thing has just got a good happy feel to it. This isn't a storming club tune, but would certainly be a good tune towards the end of any set. There is also a Probspot mix which isn't too bad, but I went for this as it had the two anthems and a bit more ‘uummpphh' about it.

Title Driftations Marninx Dedicated Mix

3/5 : Good
Artist ATP
Comments Lots of mixes for this one with some real heavy weights like Polner and Static Blue. Good happy beat to this one, a typical club type tune that will do well. Doesn't set the earth on fire, but its' got all the good ingredients. Long intro leads to a nice double melody, with the later of the two enhanced by a nice bubbly synth. This is a peak time tune as it's happy and it's been written to deliver that normal sound that everyone likes. You won't go far wrong.

Title Panspermia Alien Rain Original Mix

This text will be replaced by the flash music player.

2/5 : Not Bad
Artist Ehren Stowers
Comments Strange track this, probably due to the name. Plods along probably isn't the best way to describe, but it kind of does. The beat is solid enough, but sounds a tad flat in places. The piano break tries to lift this, but it needs more. The main melody is pretty cool, although it's a bit samey. It's in two parts, with the later slightly elevated with the piano; but nothing too drastic. This is OK, nothing brilliant; just a simple enough trance tune that will appeal to most, but not all.
Label Monster Tunes : Released August 2007

Title One Wish Original Mix

This text will be replaced by the flash music player.

2/5 : Not Bad
Artist Evbointh
Comments This is another OK tune. Not particularly brilliant, but a nice beat with a somewhat happy feel. I say somewhat happy as it can actually sound quite down, which I'm sure wasn't deliberate. The anthem is nice and long, although doesn't change at all. What's there is OK; it just needs a lift to make it stand out. Not sure where I stand with this, probably a come down tune as it's not too pacey, but enough to tap the feet. Have a listen, it isn't awful.
Label Anjunabeats : Released August 2007

Title Day Seven Original Mix

This text will be replaced by the flash music player.

3/5 : Good
Artist Sophie Sugar
Comments Like most of Sophie's tunes, this is solid. Pumping baseline and beat once you are into the melody, nothing really wrong on that front. Both the melodies deliver a solid sound and one that although very samey, is very euphoric. Has that feel which makes you want to hear lots more and much louder. Dependable sound from Sophie, yet again.
Label A State of Trance : Released August 2007

Title Beyond Sunset Original Mix

4/5 niiiccceeeee
Artist Lost Universe
Comments The title of this had me interested and I'm glad I was. This is a really nice tune that starts with a great atmosphere and then really ramps itself up. The first melody is only a teaser as the real sound is the second. Pounding beat and a great synth that has a slight echo to give it that extra bit. The feel moves really well and this just grabs you and then spits you out at the end. I like this as it's the simple approach to music and it generally always works when done well.
Label Illuminate Records : Released August 2007

Title Human Symbiosis Vira Remix

This text will be replaced by the flash music player.

3/5 : Good
Artist Aerium
Comments This is a pretty OK tune. Doesn't try to be overly flash, just gets down to business and delivers a half decent sound. I like the clangy feel to this, kind of a techno edge. Has a nice pace throughout that keeps going and hence keeps your attention. The anthem isn't one as such, it just ups the tempo a bit and hardens the beat; but it works and sounds cool and refreshing. It's also nice and long, which allows for you to really listen to what the artist is wanting. A good little number and worth hunting down.
