Title Genetic Original Airflow Mix

This text will be replaced by the flash music player.

2/5 : Not Bad
Artist Activa
Comments This is Ok. Activa is very hit and miss, there's never an outstanding tune. This is a solid enough trance tune that bangs out a pleasant sound. It's nothing overly special, but then it isn't anything overly offensive either. Doesn't really go up a level when the main theme is playing. More of a slightly elevated feel and that's it. There's only one hit as well, which as always is very disappointing. This could be more, but just fails to hit the mark.

Title Split Mr Sam Interpretation

2/5 : Not Bad
Artist Mr Sam
Comments I must admit to being really surprised by this. I almost didn't bother with this version as the others were pretty pants. Ok, this isn't really stunning trance, but it's a nice feel good sort of tune. Happy beat, with a happy anthem; although the vocals are a bit dreary ! There are two anthems, both very similar. Simple synth in the background with vocals on top. Nice and long, although a change of pace would have been good. This isn't going to be everyone's top tune, but it's different to the norm.

Comments This has a long drawn out intro, which I sometimes really like and other times it annoys me a bit. A very good progressive beat when this gets going. Simple synth throughout delivering a nice feeling and the beat builds up nicely. No pause once it's flowing, just good beat build up with subtle changes to the sound that make it different. The flipside to this ain't that bad either, so this is a very welcome addition to my collection.

Title Lighthouse Sean Tyas Dub Mix

This text will be replaced by the flash music player.

3/5 : Good
Artist Bobina feat. Elles de Graaf
Comments I did wonder about this, I'm not a huge fan of either of the artists; but I gave Mr Tyas the benefit of the doubt. It's OK, the feel is very familiar, perhaps it's the old 'tried and tested? just re-badged. Good hard beat, with a good solid trance anthem in the anthem. This is fairly long and drives nicely, a toe taper to be honest. There are some real faint vocals in places, which don't do too much. The anthem is actually really long, although it doesn't change at all. It bangs out the sound and you tap your toes. A good effort.

Title YearZero Andy Moor's First Light Mix

This text will be replaced by the flash music player.

3/5 : Good
Artist Andy Moor vs. Orkidea
Comments I must admit to being really excited when I got this, but concerned when I first put it on. The other 2 mixes are pants, so stick with this one. Nice funky beat from the off, lots of strange noises in the background and a nice touch of synths as it moves along. You can very distinctively hear both artists in this, Moor's beat and that Orkidea feel. You do have to stick with this as it's a bit stop / start at the beginning; but worth the wait. Great anthem (all be it only one), lots of feeling and a nice reverb vocal. Marked down because of the drawn out intro, but have a listen because it's still good.

Title Never Tell What You Think Paul Kershaw Remix

This text will be replaced by the flash music player.

3/5 : Good
Artist Adam White
Comments This is an artist who I have come to enjoy; his tunes are always fresh sounding and original. This has a really powerful trance feel to it, very much a club tune. There are some great reverbing synths once this gets down to business, which really do sound the dogs. It's a real shame that this doesn't have two anthems and really drive the noise into your head, as this would be a really great tune. As it stands, it's still good and still worth an investment.

Title Enlighten Lawrence Palmer Remix

This text will be replaced by the flash music player.

3/5 : Good
Artist Activa vs. Tom Colontonio
Comments Another solid enough beat and a positive start. It does dwindle though, without really having done much. That's not too bad as it does pick up again quite quickly and in a nice manner. The beat does seem to get quite harder, with a nice synth driving the background. The downside is that it also takes a small age for this to really kick, should have been a lot quicker. Two anthems very quickly after each other, the later with a more upbeat feel about it. Seems to last for quite a while as well, which is nice. An averagely good tune.

3/5 : Good
Artist Sophie Sugar
Comments A nice typical club tune. Two good tracks on this E.P., this one slightly edging. Good hard beat, with a nice euphoric trance sound for the melody. Got a twangy synth that comes in now and then, which adds a nice little something to the tune. Two bites at the cherry, with is really nice as both are very upbeat and with lots of passion. That said, the second is quite shorter; which is really odd. Nothing overly brilliant, just a good solid club tune.

Title Arctic Sweep Original Mix

This text will be replaced by the flash music player.

3/5 : Good
Artist Dreas vs. Mike Perry
Comments This is another track that I had to listen to quite a few times to make my mind up. It's got a really wacky synth, which is what I couldn't make my mind up about. It's OK, quite harsh on the ears; but that blends about right with the overall feel for the tune. There's a nice uptake on the beat midway, just an extra synth in the background; but it works. Two good strong anthems, but by the time you get to the second one the noise does get a bit in your brain. A strong club tune that you will no doubt hear and wonder what it was.

Artist System F
Comments I must admit to being quite hooked on this tune. Not the usual stuff I'd expect from Mr C, but this has a really nice happy feel. From the off you get a nice bouncy synth which built upon throughout. The main anthem is really passionate with lots of sound and underlying noises that really enhance the feeling. This has a real retro feel to it. Nice and long and really doesn't loose the plot at all, a really cool tune. A very pleasant bolt out of the blue and to think I almost didn't buy it.

Title Adamantica Original Extended Mix

3/5 : Good
Artist Orjan Nilsen pres. Orion
Comments Never heard of this fella, but that doesn't detract from a half decent tune. Nice beat, with a different sounding synth for a change. The anthem is nice and long and changes mid way through with an extra noise to lift the tempo. Can't quite make my mind up as this borders on OK and Good, so I'm going to plum for good as it would be a shame to knock this because of my mood. Worth a listen to make your own mind up.

Title World Gone Mad Original Mix

This text will be replaced by the flash music player.

2/5 : Not Bad
Artist Mannix vs. Kaymak
Comments OK this tune, nothing more. Sounds a tad under produced as there's nothing overly brilliant that stands out. As with most, good beat and a semi catchy melody; but nothing ground breaking. There are two melodies, which is some saving grace; but neither differs from each other. JOC started out so brightly, but recent stuff just hasn't been up to the mark. A shame.

Title Angelicus Andy Moor Remix

4/5 niiiccceeeee
Artist Delerium
Comments This is a great tune with some great mixes, but some horrible flaws. In the Andy Moor remix it stops and blares at you, really annoying. That aside the melody in this tune is quite beautiful. Melody, passion and euphoria all wrapped into one. The angelic vocals work really well and emphasise the beat really well. This fades into a nice and beaty melody which flows along at the right pace. Ends a tad premature and there are some rather awful blaring noises, but a top tune.

Title Rainbow Rehnmark Remix

2/5 : Not Bad
Artist Aurosonic
Comments The beginning of this is so mellow, which is odd as the beat seems so hard. Has all the potential to be a really great tune, just fails at the final hurdle. Nice sound, good beat; but not enough and certainly not long enough. This is a group that I always listen to, but have yet to find a great tune from. The potential is there, I think it's time to deliver.

Title Yield Original Mix

This text will be replaced by the flash music player.

3/5 : Good
Artist Joni pres. External Art
Comments Nice moody atmospheric feel to this, right from the off. The build is very nicely done, the beat adds and extra synths are built upon; all over the underlying mood. The main anthem is again nicely built upon. A typical trance pause and then it launches into a nice melodic noise. The bat is boosted by a nice funky beat, but all along you have the mood. It's difficult to find fault with this, but it's still only a good tune. It works well and would have benefited immensely from a second anthem, but that's me just being greedy. What is here is solid enough and one I enjoy playing.
