Title The Last Journey Icone Remix

2/5 : Not Bad
Artist Rune & DIV4
Comments I like Icone, so got this. Bit disappointed as it's quite a screechy tune after a rather nice start. Starts well, with a nice subtle synth and vocals, but it then goes a bit hardcore with a real screech of a noise. This goes a bit over the top, which is a shame as the underlying stuff is good. Not the best work I've heard from Icone.

3/5 : Good
Artist Frontline
Comments The better of the two tracks taken from the debut EP from this outfit. A mellow trancer this, with some nice synths and nice backgrounds. Good solid melody, doesn't go mad; but delivers a clean crisp sound. A good length as well, with the later part adding slightly to the feel; giving it that different feel. Not a classic by any stretch of the imagination; but a good first outing.

3/5 : Good
Artist Cellec vs. Ersa
Comments Starts well and then fades, annoying. However, it then builds up to a nice crescendo; courtesy of some nice synth work with a very spacey background feel to things. This then launches into a nice explosion of sound, with lots of noise; but very complimenting. As with all good tunes, this all builds up nicely with changes in the tempo. Shame there is only one anthem here. OK, the one in question is nice and long and you could argue is in fact two, so whatever ! A good tune and worth a listen.

Title Morning Drive Original Mix

3/5 : Good
Artist Mike Shiver
Comments You don't generally go far wrong with Mike Shiver and you don't generally go wrong with this. A typical tune, good solid beat and a nice progressive synth throughout. I suppose it does remind me a bit of going for a drive and I like the extra bits that play as the tune progresses. Nothing mind blowing, nice and simple really. The main anthem is long and changes at least 3 times; giving it that nice feel of something else is happening rather than just plain old plain. A good happy solid tune.

Title Mira Daniel Kandi Remix

This text will be replaced by the flash music player.

3/5 : Good
Artist Sunny Lax
Comments A good tune from the Anjuna camp with their up and coming artists in Kandi and Lax. Good solid beat with some nice extra bits in places. The anthem benefits from an uplift half way through, nothing special; just enough. There are two anthems, separated by a rather bland beat; which is quite surprising considering the rest of the tune. Doesn't detract too much as it's a good solid tune and one that will certainly have people on their feet; so best you have a listen.

Title Dismal Clouds Original Mix

3/5 : Good
Artist Allende
Comments Good solid beat and nice haunting synth right from the beginning. The tune takes a really nice change of direction half way through in that a glockenspiel becomes the main noise and this sounds well nice. Bounces along very melodically with a nice soothing feel. The anthem then ups slightly with another change in sound, which lifts it up nicely. If this has two stabs at the anthem, then this would be something really special. Well worth a listen though.

Comments This has such a funky and futuristic feel to it. Lots of noise going on here, all in complete harmony with each other. Nice long melody as well, this is a real sway your head back and forth tune. Good solid start, nice and melodic and quite haunting; but this builds up nicely to the main anthem This really pumps and is great when played really loud. Not to be missed this one.

Title Open Our Eyes Sean Tyas Got Piano Remix

Comments I like my trance to have the odd piano in it, so when a remix has the word in it; I'm interested. This is quite an exceptional tune when it comes to feelings. Very hard beat, but with an amazing subtle piano that really does lift this up to the next level. There are two anthems here, both similar; but both just so chilled and cool. You won't go too far wrong with this as it's just such a nice tune. Very easy going on the ears, but packs a solid enough beat to get anyone tapping them feet.

Title Memories Original Mix

2/5 : Not Bad
Artist Aurosonic
Comments Lots of subtle noise in this, but slow in getting anywhere. From the off you get the impression that this is going to be more on chilled journey than an ear bashing. The journey isn't a bad one, lots of different synths and a nice pace once it kicks in. Aurosonic threaten to deliver, but have never really given a real killer tune. This is going in the right direction and it isn't a naff tune, just a bit slow on the up.

Artist Polner & Sender
Comments I love the tunes this guy releases, there has been a naff one yet and it's a real pleasure to listen to his stuff. This collaboration produces two really good tunes, with Energy Sublimation being my pick. A good solid beat that is there right from the off and there is very little slow down in this tune. Good euphoric feeling anthem, lots of feeling and energy going on here. Builds up nicely with little extra bits between chords, nice. Two anthems very near to each other, but this works well as it keeps the tempo going. A top tune and one you should add to the collection.

Comments I got this for the Sassot Remix, but ended up preferring the Original by a country mile. One of my fave tunes of all time is ?Heavens Gate? by Freon and this reminds me of that in a big way. There's a really cool subtle synth at the beginning which leads up to the cool stuff. Some good high pitch angelic vocals lead to yet more, plus some sort of beat and then it explodes. A wicked pacey beat with the angelic vocals plus a synth. It does sound a tad on the cheesy side, but it moves so well and the tempo and pace change throughout. This is a great tune that makes the hairs stand up, all over my body !

Title The Fusion Hawk Remix

2/5 : Not Bad
Artist Joonas Hahmo
Comments An OK tune this. Nothing overly special, a good solid beat that is rather catching. I like the main noise throughout, it sounds different to the norm and has a cool twangy feel to it. This with the bassline does deliver a solid feel, but it doesn??'t change enough. There??'s also only 1 real anthem in here, although the rest doesn??'t slow down; just not as punchy. An OK tune and worth a listen.

Comments I would normally associate this guy with prog house and bearing in mind this is over 11 minutes long I was expecting that. How wrong I (sort of) was. This is a seriously good prog trance tune and when I first heard this it blew me away. Beautiful is a good word to describe this. This is brilliantly produced and a real pleasure on the ears. OK, it takes a while to get going; but you are taken on a real journey of sound to get there. When you are, pure euphoria. I can't say much more, you will love this tune so just buy it.

Title Kosmosy Original Mix

2/5 : Not Bad
Artist Nu NRG
Comments An odd start to this. Quite a fast and reckless beat and a somewhat erratic synth over the top. This does calm down a bit, but it does sound a bit haphazard. Nice plucky chords and good beat, just a tad on the tech side for my liking. There are two anthems, well sort of; both are almost identical although the track does have quite a pacey feel to it. Then the tune ends, quite suddenly to be honest. Not the best I've heard from this artist.
Label Monster Tunes (Promo) : Released July 2006

Title Voices From The Inside Progressiva Mix

This text will be replaced by the flash music player.

2/5 : Not Bad
Artist M.I.K.E.
Comments I'm not a huge fan of M.I.K.E. but always find myself listening to his tunes. This is OK, really moody start which almost put me off straight away. The chorus is what you'd expect from this artist, solid and very club. This is quite hard and in places a tad techno, which I do and don't like. The chorus is split nicely into two, with the later stronger than the first; which sounds good. If you are a M.I.K.E. fan, then you will like this.
