Title Strange World 2006 Rework

This text will be replaced by the flash music player.

1/5 : Poor
Artist M.I.K.E.
Comments I'm always dubious when the owner of a tune does a remix. I doubt that the artist here needs the cash. The original of this was and still is a classic. This mix is to put it bluntly, bloody awful. It sounds really clunky and has been techno'd up for some strange reason. There's not much in this that you will recognise against the original, apart from the odd blast here and there and then the obligatory chorus. Avoid.

Artist Nostrum & FK
Comments You are in for a real treat with this tune. I love the way this starts with that funky sound and hard acid feel in the background. This teases you big time, which for once works well. This then works itself up into a real frenzy and lays down a real hard trance sound that just keeps banging away at your ears. It then soothes a bit with a mellow synth, but on top of everything else and this just takes it up into the clouds; along with your brain. This is a great tune, shame there's only one anthem.

Title Sympolce Original Mix

This text will be replaced by the flash music player.

2/5 : Not Bad
Artist Santiago Nino & Shawn Mitiska
Comments This has a screechy feel to it, by that I mean that the synth is quite harsh in sound. The tune itself is OK, nothing brilliant which was disappointing bearing in mind the artists. The flip side ?Driving Miles? is almost as good; but this one has that bit extra drive about it. I like the chorus as it does have a different feel to it, although it's not quite what I usually go for. It's different, so if you fancy a change; have a listen.

Title Ode Original Mix

This text will be replaced by the flash music player.

3/5 : Good
Artist Diaphane feat. Kim Jay
Comments This starts well, although the wailing vocals I think are a bit out of place. Nice slow down with a cool sound in the background, quite soothing; especially as the tune is getting set to blow. Got a wicked anthem this, lovely noises that really get the blood pumping. Pacey and the tempo changes mid way through it with the introduction of another synth. Bit mad on the senses, especially with the vocals as they don't work. This is a good tune and one that you won't go far wrong with.

Title Tempest 2005 Remake

This text will be replaced by the flash music player.

3/5 : Good
Artist MK-S
Comments Exactly what you would expect from this fella, a solid trance tune. Nothing out of the ordinary, just a pumping tune that stays pumping throughout. Nice long extended melody in the middle with some nice noises and synths to entertain the brain. Pounds away throughout, doesn't really slow down until it nears the end. So, if you want a good club tune, then look no further.
Label Alter Ego Digital : Released January 2006

Title Alive Ronski Speed with Stoneface & Terminal Dub

This text will be replaced by the flash music player.

2/5 : Not Bad
Artist Solarscape
Comments A typical Ronski tune that has a good solid beat, but takes a while before it lays down the beat good and true. Once this is doing the biz, it sounds OK and is nice and long. Good trancey club feel to this and when played loud t does have that good feeling effect on the brain. Although the chorus is quite long, it's the only bite of the cherry. Nice build up and solid afterwards, but should have another go at your senses. This is probably the best mix, as it doesn't have any vocals in it. Give it a whirl.

Title For the Fallen Original Mix

4/5 niiiccceeeee
Artist Airbase
Comments I love the beat in this; it's just so very different to the norm. Lots of crazy reverb drums to get your brain around and even funkier bassline once this is in full flow. The flow and feel to this is just different and for this tune it works so really well. In the middle there is a piano break that flows into the funky stuff just so well. This is a really cool tune, all be it rather short; but very much a must for your collection.

Title Endorphine Arizona Remix

This text will be replaced by the flash music player.

3/5 : Good
Artist C-Quence
Comments The Arizona Remix just pips this one as it's a more funky club number than the others. Right from the beginning the beat pumps away with the usual build up of noise as it progresses. This does get quite noisy, in that the synths go a bit screechy before calming down. The tune mellows a bit with a satisfying beat before launching into the main bit. This is also quite mellow, just a tad up on the tempo than the earlier stuff. Quite melodic and euphoric. A good tune.
Label A State of Trance : Released January 2006

Title Mute Your Mind Yield Mix

This text will be replaced by the flash music player.

2/5 : Not Bad
Artist Frost & Maron
Comments This is OK, all be it a bit screechy in places. Reminds me of the stuff that York used to produce, all be it faster in tempo. Nice and mellow and easy to listen to, but all a bit on the samey side. The pace is good, the beat is good; but the synths are just a bit on the loud side for me. Bit in your face and at volume can give a bit of a headache. Good track to warm them feet up I think.
Label Flashover Recordings : Released January 2006

Title Sonate Original Mix

This text will be replaced by the flash music player.

3/5 : Good
Artist Hydroid
Comments Very different to what I'd normally expect from Hydroid, but not bad. I don't like the flip side to this, Atlantis; it's bloody awful. This tune moves better and has that more familiar feel, but it's a bit on the weird side. Has a techno feel to it, but with a twangy sort of echo. Nice drums in the background throughout though. This is very different and quite a refreshing change, but won't be everyone's taste.
Label Wildchile Records : Released January 2006

Title Escape Original Mix

4/5 niiiccceeeee
Artist Airbase
Comments The flip side of ?For the Fallen? and another great track. Slow to get going, although it is very melodic and it doesn't sound that out of place. Nice synth work in the middle with a full on ?noise?. The chorus moves well and sounds very passionate, very different to the flip side. Airbase has rolled out some great tunes recently and this EP is definitely one for the collection.

Title Forum of Love Danjo & Styles Remix

This text will be replaced by the flash music player.

4/5 niiiccceeeee
Artist PG2
Comments Starts with a good beat and goes for a while before much happens. In fact, in waiting for the good stuff it really drags; but once it's off and running sounds good. Nice beat and a very euphoric synth which is slowly built upon in the chorus. Extra drums are introduced to up the tempo and it sounds nice. This in turn is built upon again with even more sound, in fact this happens quite a lot; continuously changing the feel to this. This is good and doesn't happen enough, so have a listen.
Label Trance Corporation Recordings : Released January 2006

Title Infinity Original Mix

This text will be replaced by the flash music player.

3/5 : Good
Artist Yves de Ruyter
Comments The first thing that grabbed me was the vocals from the classic by FSOL. This is typical YdR, with a nice solid start and trance feel throughout. Once this is flowing sounds like a really cool club tune as it's very consistant with everything that is going on. The piano break works well and as well as FSOL I reckon it sounds abit like ?Clock's. A solid club tune that is well worth a listen.
Label ZYX Music : Released January 2006

Title Out of Knowwhere Parsberg & Splint Remix

This text will be replaced by the flash music player.

3/5 : Good
Artist Adam White & Anthony Dean
Comments Platipus are edging towards the more harder trance these days, but no complaints based on this offering. Very much like the very early Art of Trance stuff, but a tad harder. Some nice noises going on and the vocals in places are quite crazy. Moves along well and sounds fresh and funky. Doesn't go overboard with the tune, keeps it simple with what works. I like this; it's different to the norm.
Label Platipus Euro : Released January 2006

Title Fusion 2006 Carl B Remix

This text will be replaced by the flash music player.

5/5 niiiccceeeee
Artist Hiver & Hammer
Comments With so many mixes of this I was worried they would all be pants, fortunately Mr B sorts that one out. Real hard tech sound to this and the chorus is quite awesome. I have had this pumping in the car for ages and it sounds just brill. Full of energy and passion, not much more to say really. Listening to it now, the hairs are standing up on the back of my neck. The chorus is also long, which is brill as you think it's going to end and it keeps going. Lots of noises going on that just lift this up and up. Buy this, you won't be disappointed.
