Title Face the Change Original Mix

This text will be replaced by the flash music player.

2/5 : Not Bad
Artist Peter Dafnous
Comments This artist is growing on me, but then he is one part of Apollonia. This is a catchy tune, has a good solid beat and catchy noises in places. Although there are two anthems, they are quite spaced out and to this end it drags a bit. The synths sound good, but there isn't enough of it. Does get a bit jumbled in places, when the beat / anthem should be kicking in. Anticipation is a word that springs to mind with this. It's a good tune and worth a listen, just needs to be a bit shorter.
Label Conspiracy Recordings : Released March 2006

Title Rae of Sun Fandsa Remix

This text will be replaced by the flash music player.

2/5 : Not Bad
Artist Evasie
Comments Nice sound, all be it not overly original. Pacey anthems, lots of feeling and emotion; but again nothing overly innovative. This is noise with noise, plus some beat. The second anthem gets quite confusing with a bit too much going on. This needs to be striped down and put back together without so much going on. The artists is trying to do something special, which you can hear; but tries too hard and ruins the experience.

Title In My Dreams Alex MORPH vs. Woody Eyden Remix

This text will be replaced by the flash music player.

3/5 : Good
Artist 2 Trance
Comments This has a nice twangy feel to it, which is almost from the start. This goes quite melodic with a nice piano break early on which leads into a cool trance sound. Very euphoric and not too long before it launches into the main stuff. There are two good anthems in this, both very uplifting and purposeful. Some nice extra little touches in places also add to this good tune. Worth a listen.
Label Novascape Records : Released February 2006

Title 8th Wonder Alt+F4 Remix

This text will be replaced by the flash music player.

4/5 niiiccceeeee
Artist 8 Wonders
Comments I really like this. A fresh and funky sound that is constant throughout, plus the piano break is really cool. Starts well and gets down to a nice rhythm very quickly. Each piece of this tune sounds slightly different to the bit before and to a certain degree there is a tad of progressive trance thrown in. When you think you?re in the good stuff, it's get better. It's nothing groundbreaking, just very clean and crisp. The small break in the middle also works well in that you?re not left hanging around for the music. This is really good.

Title Missing You Original Mix

This text will be replaced by the flash music player.

3/5 : Good
Artist Matti Kotala
Comments Bit on the slow side to get going this one, which is a bit of a shame as once it's going it's a great sounding tune. Some nice moody noises in the background give it that extra feel. It's good a good chorus that changes around a bit, although it does come across in places as a tad samey. This tries to do something different, a different sound and feel and it almost pays off. This is worth a listen as it is different, just perhaps not for everyone.

Title Have It All Thomas Penton Dub

This text will be replaced by the flash music player.

3/5 : Good
Artist Sun Decade
Comments I don't usually go for Thomas Penton, but on this occasion I'm glad I did. This has a hard tech edge to it, but with the bass it works well. Sounds quite serious and in your face, but if you listen past all that it just flows really well. Good sound, nice and different to the usual euphoric stuff and a welcome change to that. Because the beat is so hard, it does seem relentless throughout and it seldom stops for breath. A pleasant and nice surprise.
Label Euphonic : Released February 2006

Title By Your Side Martin Roth Remix

This text will be replaced by the flash music player.

2/5 : Not Bad
Artist The Thrillseekers feat. Gina Dootson
Comments I'm not sure what it is that I like about Martin Roth, but his sound is becoming very distinctive and is very self evident in this tune. It has that hard tech sound to it, that to be brutally honest rescues this tune from obscurity. The Thrillseekers have gone of the boil with this one, the vocals are bloody awful. It's the hard stuff after this that tries to get this going and it sort of does. It's the lack lustre start of this that fails miserably. Have a listen as the last few minutes are really good, it's the rest.
Label Adjusted Music : Released February 2006

Title Moscow Morning Vadim Zhukov New Year Remix

This text will be replaced by the flash music player.

3/5 : Good
Artist Double V
Comments Zhukhov is fastly becoming one of them artists who sound you instantly recognise. This is a hard trance tune, very full on; yet quite soothing in places. This is where this sort of fails. You get a good solid beat with some good synth work, it has that club feeling. In stops a bit and slows down a bit too much for my liking and although it gets straight back into the beat, the momentum is slightly lost. That aside, a good solid tune that is over 10 minutes in length; so great to mix about with.
Label Deepblue Records : Released February 2006

Title Babylon Icone Remix

This text will be replaced by the flash music player.

4/5 niiiccceeeee
Artist Hemstock & Jennings
Comments This takes it time to get going, but is worth the wait. Nice solid beat with some equally nice haunting vocals in places. There are two good size anthems here as well, with the later slightly more up on the tempo. Typical H&J tune, with an even more typical Icone remix. Good solid club tune this, one that when played really loud gets them hairs standing up.
Label A State of Trance : Released February 2006

Title Remember Me Terry Bones Remix

This text will be replaced by the flash music player.

2/5 : Not Bad
Artist Interstate
Comments This tune tries very hard and just doesn't get there. Really moody underlying feel to this, the synths have a dark edge to them. When this is moving I like the sound, bit techy in places; but it sounds good. Way too slow to get going and the vocals do nothing at all to enhance this. Then, out of nowhere and towards the end it picks up a really sweet little break. A piano over the top of what you've had since the beginning. Why o why couldn't it have been like that from the start ?
Label Armind : Released February 2006

Title Ibiza Sun Original Mix

This text will be replaced by the flash music player.

3/5 : Good
Artist Johnson & Corbett vs. Alan M
Comments A typical tune from these two. Builds to be quite a hard trancer, with some noises going on in the background. Very much a peak time tune as it is very in your face, it just has that club feel to it. Bit too fast for me, or it sounds that way at least. Goes on quite a bit and although there is some extra synth thrown in for good measure, doesn't quite break it up. Nice wind instrument in the middle, which does break it up (!), but needs a bit more. A good tune nonetheless.
Label Trancetribe Recordings : Released February 2006

Title Dancing Town Icone Remix

This text will be replaced by the flash music player.

4/5 niiiccceeeee
Artist Krivi
Comments Nice and simple this, which is probably along by Icone as the remixers. Piano break throughout with some nice melodic wave type synths in the breakdown. I suppose this is a bit too simple in places, but I like that now and then and this works well. There's 3 bites at the tune in here, which is very very rare indeed. All of them sound similar, with nice little touches to enhance here and there. If you want a nice happy tune that is going to work, then look no further than this.
Label Total Digital : Released February 2006

Title My Precious Mesh Remix

This text will be replaced by the flash music player.

5/5 niiiccceeeee
Artist Leon Bolier
Comments From the minute this started, I liked it. This just purrs like a kitten and is softer than silk. You've probably guessed I like this tune, a lot. The anthem in here is just awesome. It flows so well and just sounds brill on the ears and senses. This still makes me tingle when I hear it. The tune is quite progressive in that new noises are introduced as the journey continues and what a journey. This just isn't long enough, needs to be twice as long so I can really immerse myself in this sound. Brill.
Label Captured Music : Released February 2006

Title Fine Day Original Mix

This text will be replaced by the flash music player.

2/5 : Not Bad
Artist Dallas Superstars
Comments This was released in the early 90's by Opus III and was a bloody classic if there ever was one. This tries hard to better it, but fails. This is a good tune, but leave well alone for some tunes. The vocals here don't sound as crisp, but it's that feeling when you here them; memories come flooding back. Good solid beat and a good solid piano break over the chorus, but this is more for those of you who remember the original.
Label 16 Inch Records : Released February 2006

Title Muhanjala Original Mix

This text will be replaced by the flash music player.

2/5 : Not Bad
Artist Duderstadt
Comments This is a strange tune, probably due to the strange sounding artist and title. I usually expect tunes on Afterglow to be throbbing trance tunes, but is much more mellow. Nice melodic feel, moves along a good steady pace; but doesn't really set your senses alight. There are two stabs at the chorus, which is good; but it would have been nice if the second was slightly more uplifting. This works, but is quite a relaxed tune.
