2/5 : Not Bad
Artist Patrick Markus
Comments A Sassot and Tenthu remix and I still preferred the Original, odd ! A relaxed and chilled tune that will not pound your senses, so expect less. It's simple and doesn't really do much for me. I like the beat as it's non cluttered and I like the intro of the synths gradually, but it doesn't really up the tempo or change much. If you want a nice consistent track that will mix well and act as a good warm up tune, then have a listen to this.

3/5 : Good
Artist Magic Island
Comments This is so cheesy it hurts. That said a real happy happy tune that has a great beat and tempo to it. Take the vocals away and you'd have a top tune, but even with them in it ain't half bad. Two good solid anthems that sound uplifting and it's all produced in a really nice way. I was surprised that this was as good as it is, so have a listen and be surprised as well.

2/5 : Not Bad
Artist Six Senses pres. Electronic Nova
Comments Hhhmmm, it really does depend on what mood I'm in for this one. It's a nice track, good beat and a nice euphoric anthem in the middle. The problem I have is that I like the anthem, but there's only one and that isn't all that long. The wrapping around it is OK, but nothing outstandingly brilliant. The intro is quite long and should have been used for more interesting music, rather than tease you. It's OK and there is also an OK Icone Remix on the flipside.

3/5 : Good
Artist Kamil Polner
Comments I like stuff by this artist before I've heard, which can always be dangerous. Not on this occasion. Melodic to start with a nice solid beat and some simple synth work, just to wet your appetite. You then get a nice long melody of sound, doesn't do too much and doesn't really count as the main anthem; but it flows really smoothly. It just keeps going and builds in places and takes away in others. It's a cool, calm and simple sound. Not his best, but this EP is a must buy.

2/5 : Not Bad
Artist Carl B
Comments I must admit to being disappointed with this tune. Carl B has produced some stunning tunes, but I find that the more an artist does; the weaker it becomes. This has a great anthem, full of passion and feeling; but the wrapper around it is quite poor. You really have to stay with this to get to the good stuff and that doesn't last particularly long. Lots of different mixes as well, none of which really shine.

Title On The Edge Mike Shivers Catching Sun Remix

3/5 : Good
Artist Mark Pledger
Comments This is quite a subtle and mellow track, especially for Anjuna. Nice atmospheric tune, simple beat and simple sounds. Easy on the ears and one for those early hours. There are two nice anthems hear, both very similar although the later has a bit more tempo to it. Not much to say, if you want a nice chilled tune, look no further.

2/5 : Not Bad
Artist Airbase
Comments This is a strange tune and as with so many, depends on what mood I'm in as to whether I like it; or really like it. It does a take a while to get going, over half the tune which is what I think nags me. Once it's there I like the melody as it's quite a haunting one. The synth comes across as being a tad dark and the beat in the background is nice and simple, back works well. It also does go on for quite a period of time, rather than having two with a pause. This is an Ok tune and one that's worth listening to see what you think.

Title Stay Away Sassot Remix

3/5 : Good
Artist Tenthu
Comments I like the artist before I listen to the tune and this is a solid Tenthu effort. Good strong beat throughout with that typical sound that I've come to expect. The melody is nice and pacey with some good feeling thrown in for good measure. Only one real melody to speak of, but it's nice and the rest of the tune moves at a good enough pace to keep you interested. A solid tune.

Artist Lange vs. Gareth Emery
Comments I was really surprised with this tune as I've not been a huge fan of either artist lately. This is quite a hard tune, but it has a really powerful feel. There are bits when the good old acid sound is in play, which is awesome. The main melody is really funky, lots of feeling and lots of passion. This is one for the peak of the night when people are wanting to hear that tune that will make them throw their hands in the air. Nice.

Title Frantic Sean Tyas Remix

Artist Will Holland vs. Six Senses
Comments Man of the moment Sean Tyas lays down a well hard and funky remix of a pretty good tune. The melody in this one is fast and furious, a real big time toe taper. The beat is hard throughout and the whole feel to the tune is euphoric. The typical Tyas piano break makes a welcome entry in paces and this really lifts the tune up. Could have been longer, whereas this starts to die out just when you think it's really going to tear your eyes off.

Title Through Your Eyes Thomas Bronzwaer Remix

2/5 : Not Bad
Artist Giuseppe Ottaviani
Comments Hhhmm, not overly sure about this. OK, there's a catchy rift throughout and a catchy drum roll in places; but sounds a bit flat. Sorry, flat is probably not the right word, euro is. Not a hard enough trance tune, has all the right ingredients; just needs the underlying cheese removed. Bit too commercial, but I do the like drum breaks in places.

Title Now and Ever Main Mix

2/5 : Not Bad
Artist Absolute
Comments Deep, real deep this one. Got a real plod along feel to this, with a deep bass line. You have to bear with it as it takes a while to get going. I say that, if you can call what it does getting going. Melodic and with atmosphere, just a bit on the dreary side in places. Not a peak time tune and to be honest not one for your typical club. Very much for the specialists out there, but have a listen anyway.

Artist Kamil Polner
Comments This guy can't do much wrong in my ears, usually quality tracks and this is no exception. This is probably one of the cheesier tunes he's done, but it does the business. Lots of passion and feeling, all on top of a nice beat and a simple synth. It just keeps going and going, its one long anthem and that really is the art of trance. 11 mins long this one and you'd be hard pressed to think that. You will be toe taping your way through this, cheese ?n? all. Even the lull in the middle is quite sublime, no beat; but lot's of feeling. I can't fault this, it's a cracking E.P. and worth your money 100% even if just for this one track.

Title Storm Josha Cunningham Remix

3/5 : Good
Artist CJ Stone
Comments Not sure if this has been re-released as info is a tad sketchy. I suppose the remixer has had some success lately so time to cash in. That's fair enough as this is a good tune. Nice rambling sound throughout, plus what can only be described as whistling. Put these together and they compliment really well and have a fresh and happy sound. It's a tad shameful this is so short and there's only one real melody. I think if there'd have been two, or the only one was longer then this would have been a real cracker. Sorry, it's just plain old good.
Label Green-Tunes : Released November 2006

Comments My first impressions of this were good, based on the first minute. Good tribal feel, with a nice solid house beat. This changed and to be honest not for the best in my opinion. The tune is very solid, moves well and has a nice feel to it. The tribal beginning is lost to a harder more tech sound, which although OK; isn't the beginning. The anthems don't stand out enough. They are different and slightly more up tempo, but there's nothing major that makes your ears twitch or your feet tap. This needs a remix, some more passion and to keep the tribal feel.
