Comments Inspired by the 1990 classic by BBG, this is a great tune. I remember being at the opening night on Space in Ibiza and they played this and I went mad, that's the original. To hear this remastered into something that actually works is a real treat. Forget the Oliver Prime mix, go straight to the Original. A great beat that really pounds when it lets rip and it's got that awesome piano break throughout. You just have to experience this to enjoy it. So have a listen, enjoy and relive those memories of old !

Artist Alex Arestegui
Comments The Alucard mix of this is a bit too ALucard for me. Fortunately, Mike Shiver delivers a nice bouncy tune that sounds, well, nice. Bit slow to get going, but it's quite a nice slow in that it's very melodic and quite deep. The beat kicks in and you get an all round well nice bit of sound on the ears. Moves well, with some nice synth work going on; plus a nice piano break in places. Sounds much faster than it actually is, but that works well with the slower start. A good tune that sounds even better when played loud.

2/5 : Not Bad
Artist Alex MORPH
Comments Nice feel to this, good and happy. Solid beat from the start and a nice atmospheric break fairly on with good synths. That said, the beginning is quite drawn out before this gets down to business and when it does it is a bit stop and start. Very much a club tune as it has that euphoric feel to it, with a touch of urgency. The anthem is fairly long and very samey in that what you hear in the first few seconds doesn't change all that. This is OK, bit drawn out at the beginning and not enough change in the middle.

Comments A typical Afterglow release, thumping beat and a funky synth. However, this is one of the cheesier releases and is somewhat surprising. Moved slightly away from the purist tunes to this more main stream approach. It sounds OK, good and funky and the main chorus is very uplifting. It does reek of cheese though and that the producers have deliberately gone for the easy way out. The Original is not worth listening to by the way. Again, an OK track that needed more effort and time rather than a quick churn out.

Comments From the moment this started I liked this. Really cool sounding twangy synth with some equally good background synths. Takes a while for this to get into full flow and if you don't know what's coming, you might give up. Once this is going it's a really cool bouncy tune. The synth works really well along with the bat and as the anthem progresses extra sounds are added in for good measure, nice. This is just a top quality tune and one you don't want to be without.

Comments Lots of good mixes on this 12?, with the Icone Mix running a very close second. This has a fresh crisp feel to it, right from the beginning. Lots of noise going on, but well blended and not over the top. This has that 'too die for? feel about it, I love it. You get a chorus early on to wet your appetite and then another towards the end. This just oozes quality and I just love it.

2/5 : Not Bad
Artist Mike Shiver
Comments This tune so hard to be a great tune, but just fails. There are some good mixes, but none of them are consistent enough, in that they are all very stop / start. I liked the vocals in this version and the chorus sounds more upbeat than the others. Shiver delivers solid sounding trance, but on this occasion I feel he missed the mark.

Comments Straight away I like the beat in this. It's very different and very rough. Reminds me of the beats of all the old stuff, nice. I was surprised to prefer this mix over Perry O?Neil, but it was less dreary. This has a really fresh and exciting sound to it, it's just got a totally different sound. Lots of noise and reverbs going on and then a real funky chorus. The sampled vocals work really well and just make it sound that little bit better. It's nice and long so lots to listen to, a real pleasure.

Artist Digital Tension
Comments This is a real nice tune. Great reverb synth on top of a very good pacey beat. All this plus a nice underlying synth that blends it all very nicely together. The beat kicks in nicely as you go through the main theme and this adds that little extra it that is always so welcome. It's a real shame there's only one chorus otherwise this would have been an absolute stormer. It's good as it stands, but could have been so much better.

Title Drawn to Depth Original Mix

3/5 : Good
Artist Hydroid
Comments That oh so familiar Hydroid sound, one that I have really grown very fond of. This has the bell noise and a good beat underneath it all. Nothing really special, just a simple and effective track. The tunes are nice and long and keep going, with the middle bits not dragging to much. This is quite samey, so once you've heard the first half you've already heard the second. I like this though, breaks up a set very nicely.

1/5 : Poor
Artist John O'Callaghan
Comments I'm usually a fan of John O?C; but lately he has churned out some real crap. This is one of them. I don't know what he was thinking about with this tune, but it just does nothing. You think it's going to finally get going and it just continues to drone on. This is music at its real worst and a really disappointing number. Also avoid an up and coming collaboration with John Askew called ?Game Over?; it's dire.

Artist Way Out West
Comments This is a really weird sort of tune. It's got a lot of noises going on that at times just don't sound right. There are some strange sounding kids chanting as well, on top of quite a ferocious beat. This is a long tune and it does suffer from a slow build up. It's not slow in that the beat goes, etc; just not a lot happens. I don't know with this, sometimes I really like and other times it annoys the hell out of me. Have a listen and decide for you, I think that would be best !

Comments You have two quite breathtaking mixes to pick from here, both as good as each other. One of the better tunes I've heard in a long time. Not sure what it is, perhaps the blend of pace and euphoria and that feel of urgency there is in this. This just works and works very well. There's nothing missing, it just loads the senses with sound and takes you on a journey. It's that simple, what more do you want ? Well, if there is more; then turn the vinyl over. You can do it all again with a different twist, just great stuff.

Title The Saddest Song Kuffdam & Plant Remix

This text will be replaced by the flash music player.

3/5 : Good
Artist Annie Lennox
Comments Odd artist to find on white label, especially with a Kuffdam & Plant remix. This is a nice tune; very good beat; nice and tribal. The vocals are really quite sad, odd enough. With the beat and synths slowly building up underneath them, this sounds really nice. It's not a screaming dance tune, but one for late on in the evening. Throughout there are lots of little noises that kick in or an over emphasised drum / percussion. This is just a nice song, nothing more. Makes a really nice change and is very soothing, should you have a sore head.

Comments Bonzai have been around for ages and are a tried and trusted label, this doesn't break from that mould. A solid trance progressive tune that has lots of feeling and noise to it. There's some nice changing noises in the break bits, which just make it sound that little bit better when you would normally expect a lull. There's a good pace throughout and it doesn't slow or let you down when you'd expect. But long in places, but a great tune nonetheless.
