Title Zero Hours Perry O'Neil Remix

This text will be replaced by the flash music player.

3/5 : Good
Artist ZGR
Comments ZGR, alias Ozgur Can, remixed by Perry O?Neil. Well, probably two of the biggest progressive house producers there are, so this should be something really special. Well, it's very progressive and slow to get going; but that's progression ! The bass is really deep and you have to listen hard to hear it. Then there's a moment piercing noise that brings it all together. One noise just adds so much to this number. OK, it's slow and moody; but what do you expect from these two ? This is a good tune, although a bit too chilled in places for my liking.

Title Chiba Original Mix

3/5 : Good
Artist p.e.g.
Comments A hard trancer that at times verges on sounding very acid. Pounds away quite hard at the beginning and then has a surprising slow down, which is quite refreshing ! Good solid anthem in this moves well and has that feeling of purpose about it. Bit on the samey side, but the tempo does sound like it changes to give it that extra lift. The end is also good in that it doesn't just start to slow down, it keeps pounding away with a rather catchy little sound. A solid tune.

Title Walking on the Moon Genix Mix

2/5 : Not Bad
Artist Karada
Comments Sounds twangy from the outset this and it does take a good 3 minutes before you start to hear the real thing. Very much on the club side this as it just has that obvious sound that the clubs generally have. The tune is fairly over and over, without too much change. That said, there is a rather strange noise introduced to try and spice things up; but it doesn't really do it for me. I obviously didn't listen too hard to this before I bought it as it's not really my cup of tea, bit dull.

Comments I never really got off on the original mixes of this, but Mr Shiver just added enough more to perk my interest. Generally I don't listen to a latter release if I didn't like it first time round. This has a really ?annoying? sound as it is really horribly catchy. It's just one of them that you will hear and instantly like, it's so happy. Good build up from the beginning, clearly outlining what's coming up. This just works for me, it's so un-offensive it hurts; simple and to the point. Happy tune that sounds really good and one that I really like.

Comments I really liked The Message so was really excited when I got this and am glad to report that this is equally as good. Very fast sounding and very euphoric. When this is in full flow the hairs on the back of your neck will stand up. It's let down by the gaps in between the main chorus. Although these are quite full on, they do slow it down a tad and the choruses themselves are a tad short. Perhaps this is me just being greedy, but this is almost a perfect tune; so why not !

Comments Mellow tune this and not a bad one at that. Has a really catchy sort of sighing noise that pops in and out in places, plus a very repetitive main piece of synth work. This sounds good as it's accompanied by all the other noises that are going on. Good solid beat, nothing overly hard; just nice and simple. The tune is a tad on the short side, but this doesn't really let it down too much. There's also a splattering of female vocals, which sound really good and gear you up nicely for the tune ahead. Well worth a listen.

Comments I thought getting these two together on collaboration would be interesting and this certainly is. Very pacey and quick off the mark, which is always a good sign. Got a nice techno feel in the background as well, although that might just be me. It does slow down quite oddly in that the beat changes completely and there is some nice wailing and piano work. This is a good happy tune that sounds good and would be best suited in a Caf? del Mar type environment. It's a wee bit samey once it's in full flow, but then the beginning and middle are very different.

Title Square One Pulser Mix

This text will be replaced by the flash music player.

3/5 : Good
Artist Pulser
Comments Probably one of the better producers in the trance market, so I am always happy to see a Pulser tune on the shelves. This has a real haunting feel to it, which builds up very progressively. The beat as you would expect is good and solid and there are some nice additional percussion noises going on. It's slow to get going due to a very ambient start and it does have a stop in the middle, which is a shame. It's at this point a sort of kettle drum is introduced which subsequently flows into the main tune. This sounds really good, all be it not particularly long; which again is a shame.

2/5 : Not Bad
Artist Sumatra
Comments Hmmm, bang bang bang; that's what this one does and rather a lot. It's fairly catchy, but far too hard for me. Odd, as it's only a 137 BPM track, just sounds more like 145. It's OK, but one for the hard heads.

Comments Bit too fast for me. Too much noise and stuff going on, can't really concentrate on the music. This would be way too heavy for me in a club at peak time, I'd probably past out. It'[s a well produced tune, just a bit confusing for my liking. I like my tunes nice and easy and this isn't that.

Title Energy Reflect Original Mix

This text will be replaced by the flash music player.

2/5 : Not Bad
Artist Flashbang
Comments This is OK, all be it a tad on the repetetive side. Has a nice solid beat and a good underlying bass line. Moves well and has a nice bouncy feel to it. Got a few main themes thrown in for good measure, but they just don't go anywhere. Would have helped if there was some extra synth work thrown in to lift the tune, but it just drags along at it's own pace. Bit disappointing for a Vincent de Moor track, but nothing a decent remix won't sort out.

Title External Key Perry O'Neil Remix

3/5 : Good
Artist Audioholics
Comments Perry O?Neil is fastly becoming a fave of mine. He's very much on the progressive side, but his production is quite superb. Well thought out and very well put together. This is no exception to the rule. Very slow build up, but once it lets go there's a good solid progressive tune here. Solid beat mixed up with a nice piece of synth work give this a good club vibe and one that sounds even better when played loud. The nice thing is when you think it's about to fade out, it kicks back in; nice.

Title Global Getaways Original Mix

2/5 : Not Bad
Artist Solar Factor
Comments This was one of them tunes that I heard and thought was great, but upon buying realised it wasn't that brilliant. Very moody and atmospheric this one, which is OK when it's done well. This drones a bit and doesn't really change too much to get me going. As progressive tunes come this isn't really up there, it's an OK tune; but more for the purists.

Artist Whiteroom feat. Amy Cooper
Comments This is a real happy tune and one that I really like. Has a really cool sound to this that moves it along at quite a fast pace, but it sounds so much like summer. If I was on a beach, this would be playing as it just has that feel. Hard thing to get into a tune, that feeling of something and in this one it works well. I like the ?pauses? as well and they bring you back down to earth for a bit before taking off again. The subtle singing works really well and adds to that feel good feeling. This is a great tune and one that I will be playing for sometime to come.

Comments This song reminds me so much of Caf? del Mar, a timeless classic if there ever was one. Great build up which has that serious tingle factor, especially if you like CdM. Good solid funky beat with some nice synth work that add to the whole thing. This is very much like CdM in every way, it sounds almost identical; but just revamped. I generally don't like such things, but this works. I look forward to another offering of something original just perhaps to prove that the artist has it in him.
