2/5 : Not Bad
Artist Mike Shiver pres. Maderia
Comments Bit boring this tune and I am a bit surprised I bought it. Must have been the best bit I heard before buying. This plods along quite laboriously and doesn't really get of the ground. It has a nice sounding synth throughout, but this just isn't backed up by the rest of the tune and it flounders. There is hardly any change in tempo and seldom is anything new introduced. If this just had a slightly faster beat and a bit more feeling, it would work well. As it stands, it doesn't.

Artist Lucas & Beltram
Comments This has a good different sound to it. There is a really subtle noise in the background that pops in and out and sounds really good, strange how the little things impress. The main chorus is quite funky and has a touch of a jazzy feel to it. Builds nicely on the beat and progresses some nice extra sounds in that just add that little something extra that you will appreciate. There is only 1 bite at the cherry which is a shame as there is quite a bit of ?extra? wrapped around the main stuff, but this is a good tune and worth a listen.

3/5 : Good
Artist Scott Bond vs. Solar Stone
Comments This has that very familiar sounding Solar Stone twang about it, have a listen and you will know what I mean. Good sounding tune that has a really good chorus that goes on for quite a bit and has that slight uplifting feel to it. The twang is throughout and works well with the rest of the tune. This is a solid all round tune that delivers a good sound, but you would expect that from the artist.

Comments Very old sound to this, the sort from many years ago and then it vamps itself back up-to-date. Very euphoric sound and certainly very much on the triumphant sounding side, certainly a club tune. I like the way this sounds, although it isn't anything out of the ordinary. The background works well and there isn't any horrid stop / start going on. Only 1 chorus is a downer though as just when you are getting the feel for this it starts to wind down. Worth a listen nonetheless.

Title Beyond Original Mix

3/5 : Good
Artist Leon Bolier pres. Inner Stories
Comments You need to bear with this one as it is a bit slow to get going. In fact, first time I heard this I wasn't sure what to make of it as the drums are very tribal and almost out of sorts. You then do get a funky beat for a bit before it stops and goes off on some sort of Vangelis mission. Not sure what was going on, but it does sound quite nice and certainly very different. Fortunately the beat kicks back in and off we go. This is an OK tune that is certainly different to a lot of the stuff out there, so for that I am very grateful. It's nice when the artists try something different rather than the same old stuff.

Comments The beginning of this always reminds me of the artist Fluke, it has that happy bubbly feel to it. This doesn't last long before the harder more serious trance feel kicks in, with quite a vengeance. The main chorus does sound a bit serious and at first lacks and real treble, very much on the bass side. This soon changes with a nice progressive intro to some more synths and noises; which sound really good. The chorus ends into a nice melodic interim, which doesn't slow down or stop. In fact `the beat doesn't stop, it just keeps pounding. Quite superb really.

2/5 : Not Bad
Artist Odyssee
Comments A very haunting sounding tune with quite a fierce beat, almost reckless in places. Very slow to get going and when it does it isn't all that impressive. Very samey although there is a nice change in tempo part way through the chorus with the introduction of a nice enhanced melody. This doesn't last for long enough and you are left with that empty feeling. A shame.

Comments What a strange beginning, the noise is quite bizarre. Well, not that odd; but certainly very different; it's a reverbed beat of some form. This is built on with what sounds like a violin and to be honest the first few minutes are quite depressing ! This does pick up a bit with the introduction of a new synth, but it just doesn't take off as it should do. The title is very apt for this as it does make me feel quite lonely. Not my ideal cup of tea, but will suit some.

Artist Kalafut & Fygle
Comments Afterglow are a very solid German label who have been churning out some real quality for many years and this is exactly that. Although it takes an age for the main tune to kick in, the build up is nice, very melodic and soothing; bit like the whole tune. There isn't much to say about this as it doesn't fill me with much passion as once it's going there isn't much more. Shame bearing in mind this is over 9 minutes long, but it's worth a listen as it's generally a good tune.

Comments I like the start to this, it has a real smooth feel and bounces along really nicely. This is nice in the early hours as it's not offensive and banging your ears to shreds, it's smooth. Very subtle tune that doesn't have too many synths, etc; just enough to listen to. It's a shame the choruses aren't longer and there isn't more thrust with the main sound. It does tend to go up and then come back down a bit too quickly. I would welcome a new remix as this could be a really stunner.

Comments Funky tune, very funky. Got a very nice alternative sounding beat which bounces all over the place. Doesn't have a main chorus as such as the whole tune just keeps going and drops beats in and out at will. Nice change in tempo in several places and lots of different noises going on. There is almost a few tunes wrapped into one the way this stops and changes direction. A quality production from the Trance Tribe label who are beginning to really churn out some good solid stuff.

Title A Little Hazy Morning Original Mix

3/5 : Good
Artist Progresia pres. Sokaya
Comments This has a very subtle oriental feel to it, which is different. This sounds really bassy, almost to the extent that it is ever so slightly distorted. Nice happy feel with a very common sounding plucky sort of piano chirping away throughout. The bits in the middle are a bit dull as they don't really feel like they suit the other otherwise good choruses. Nice beat and a good feel to this, although it isn't anything extra special. Needs to be toned down bass wise and a bit more effort in the middle bits.

Comments This sounds good right from the start. Has a really solid beat and feel to it, which doesn't disappoint. Even before this launches into the main sound, it delivers a really cool intro to what is ahead. It just works so well and is a big plus in it's favour. The pause in the middle is quite weird. There is an electronic voice talking and then a nice funky bit of synth and drum work. This actually lasts for quite a while, but it's worth the wait. An awesome tune that pounds your senses and just keeps going. The main theme sounds really fresh and funky and is nice and long. Add this to your collection, you will not be disappointed.

Comments This is a very different sound from the Somatic Sense stable. The beat is extremely basic, but it sounds OK. Nothing overly complicated and then you get to the main bits, which sound well bizarre. It's like a funked up ?pan pipe?, which again sounds really good. The pause in the middle slows it down a bit too much for my liking, but it's no big deal bearing in mind the rest of the track. It's a shame there is only one bite at the good stuff otherwise this would have scored much higher. A different and good tune though.

Title Elevate John O'Callaghan Remix

This text will be replaced by the flash music player.

2/5 : Not Bad
Artist Clear & Present
Comments It's a John O?Callaghan remix so things should be fairly good. This is disappointly slow to get going with it taking almost 5 minutes to start laying down a half decent tune and when that does happen it doesn't last all that long. This is a shame as it has a nice reverbed feel to it with a very hard and meaningful beat, but just no essence. Odd, Mr O?C usually dishes up some real corking stuff, must have been an off day.
