Title Transatlantic Andy Moor Mix

3/5 : Good
Artist Jose Zamora & Damian DP
Comments You could be mistaken for thinking this was a Hydroid or Cressida tune and it has that feel to it. Instead, you have a really nice sounding tune; with a touch of Andy Moor. This sounds good, but the middle bits slow it down too much and the male vocals don't work. That aside, I like this. Fresh sound on a funky beat with a nice bass that just adds that little extra. When you don't have the main sound going it lags a bit, goes a bit too moody. Good though.

Comments Nice sound. Got this for the Probspot mix, but the Original was much fresher. This is a nice and simple tune that works. Nothing too much going on, but what there is; works. Good beat and a nice effective synth noise that blends well with the track. The tempo changes in places to give it that lift and it just has that good club trance feel to it. You know you hear a tune and it just does it for you, this is one of them.

Comments This is a wonderfully atmospheric tune, one that just oozes through the brain with no effort whatsoever. Lots of noises and spaced out effects accompanied by a nice euphoric synth. Not to heavy on the brain, just nice and bouncy. This is a great driving tune and it's got a nice happy feel so it calms the driving down a bit. As far as a trance track, I really like this. ?Servants of Justice? on the flip side is also pretty good, so collectively this is a must buy.

1/5 : Poor
Artist 4 Strings
Comments This is one of them groups that either delivers a real stormer or something that just about scrapes into the charts. This is almost the later of the two as it's a fairly bland affair with not a lot going on. Bit slow to get going and then there's a fairly long piece of synth, with nothing else. The beat then kicks in and just doesn't ignite my senses. Very bland and it just doesn't stick out with any real passion. A few mixes of an otherwise poor tune.

2/5 : Not Bad
Artist Yer Man
Comments This brings back some old memories, happy ones I will add. I loved the acid craze (music, that is) and this just relives that for me with a really called ?accciiiddddd? all the way through it. If I wasn't as old as I am, this would probably really annoy me; but just for old times sake this makes an appearance on the site. An OK tune that bounds along at 129BPM, more for the fun of it.

Artist Kobee
Comments This is a nice record. Got a good build up at the beginning, which mainly consists of a piano of sorts and very little beat. This then gets very progressive and starts to build up to the main tune. This is fairly run off the mill, but moves well and sounds good. Downside as ever is the length of the tune, doesn't deliver much power for long before winding up. Long pause in the middle as well which doesn't help, but all in all an OK tune.

Title Sunset Beach Original Mix

2/5 : Not Bad
Artist DJ Tatana
Comments Usual stuff from this artist, very middle of the road sound, nothing very awe inspiring. A hard sounding number, very much on the hard club scene at 139 BPM. Sounds OK, but as I've said it just isn't anything special. Take any tune from this artist and play them back to back and you probably won't notice the difference. Which is a shame as she is clearly talented.

Title The Nazarene Original Mix

3/5 : Good
Artist Synthex
Comments These guys are beginning to remind me of Astral Projection in a large way and certainly the old stuff from the likes of Tip and Flying Rhino. That isn't a bad thing as I grew up on it all and for this era it's quite a different sound. Rod & Rik have been putting together quality tunes for a while now and I'm always privileged to be on their distribution list. This is a good tune, but it takes an age to get going; especially as the tune itself isn't all that long. Once it's off and running it has a very nice happy feel to it, nothing overly complicated just a good solid beat and a nice catchy tune. Got some subtle synth work in the background which works well before we get back to the old school sound. This needs to be longer and have at least 2 choruses and then we will have something really special on our hands. Feel free to contact the guys on the link below.

Comments Don't know anything about this guy, but I don't think he's signed to a label which is a surprise. This is a very hard trance number with quite a ferocious beat and bass. Very much in your face as the main them is really loud and very what I would call triumphant sounding. I couldn't listen to this pace of music all day, but as something to break up my other tunes this is pretty good. Doesn't suffer from any stop / start and just keeps going to the end. Worth a listen if you like the harder stuff.

Comments This is a happy tune, with a very welcome touch of rock guitar. Very well belnded sounds in here, you have some nice mellow ones and then this rock guitar. I wouldn't consider putting them together, but it works really well. This does remind me of some tunes of 10 years ago in it's simplistic noise that goes on. The end just gets better as there's an extra uplifting synth that pushes this up. This is very pleasantly different to the normal and as such I really enjoy playing this.

Title Piiska Arksun's Nightflight Mix

3/5 : Good
Artist AR52
Comments Progressive music when done correctly can be a real pleasure to listen to and there aren't many better than Arksun. Surprised to see him on Joof, whom I consider a fairly commercial label. This is a strange sounding one as it does in places get a bit garbled as the main sound doesn't always sound in place. This is very prone to stopping which is not what I expect and it does get very close to what I would class as ambient. It's later on where it really turns the screw and pumps up, although not seriously heavy. As progressive goes, this works for me OK.

Title Reaching Out Original Mix

2/5 : Not Bad
Artist Divine & Sincere
Comments This has a fast funky feel to it and it does get down to business very quickly. The big problem here is the noises that are going on. There is a swishy noise that just overpowers the whole thing completely and near on ruins the whole experience. This moves well and has a really good club feel to it, it's just one noise completely killing all the hard work. This is a real shame as when it's not noisy you can hear the quality beneath, but it's there and it's bad.

Title Eloris Pineapple Mix

3/5 : Good
Artist David Glynn
Comments This guy to my knowledge is still unsigned which is really odd and he has a very clear understanding of music and what makes the brain tick. This is a nice happy tune with a good solid beat and that good old happy feel to it. I would class this as a Friday afternoon record and that's how I always feel just before I go home. This does tend to slow a bit and the wait for the main anthem is a bit over long, but when it does start this is very likable. Like all good artists this guy is a bedroom DJ with his own residency on Rise FM. I wish him lots of luck and look forward to listening to more of his stuff.

Comments For a track on the Afterglow label, this is quite mellow. Please don't let that deceive as this is a fantastic tune, one that I am playing an awful lot. A pure euphoric tune that just oozes quality. There is a breath sort of sound in the background all the time which just sounds great. The tune itself has a really nice piano plus a solid beat and not a huge amount more. The way in which this has been produced allows you to hear everything that is happening with full effect and just get engulfed in the sound. There are a few choruses to get into which flow so well. This is a truly magnificent tune.

Title Requiem Original Mix

3/5 : Good
Artist Jezper
Comments This is one of them that you have to bear with as it does turn into a real screaming trance tune. Very slow out of the block which is a shame. When this is going is really does scream at you with a very euphoric noise. That said, there are places when the beat sounds ever so slightly off as if you were trying to mix tunes and they were slightly out; it sounds really odd. There are two choruses and all in all this is an OK tune, but have a listen first.
