Title Cyberflight Original Mix

3/5 : Good
Artist Exalted
Comments A pacey little number, one that reminds a lot of the old days. The ?B? side is a bit naff, but this one works. It's quite progressive in the way it builds up, but the main anthem rocks nicely into the brain. Very much an old sound, a bit screechy; but it's been a while since I've heard it, so I like it ! The main bit lasts for quite a while and keeps pounding away, but it doesn't change all that much. It sounds good, but a change in tempo here and there wouldn't have gone a miss.

Title This is New York Original Mix

2/5 : Not Bad
Artist Lange vs. Gareth Emery
Comments Two heavyweights in the trance filed meet up and share collaboration. Forget the other side of this as it's pretty awful, stick with this one. This has a strange feel to it, very much from the 90's; but with a touch of the new stuff. That repetitive feel and happy sound, work well. It's a shame that the idle bits are actually better than the main anthem. The main bits are just an over emphasised synth, which sounds a bit naff. It's only at the second attempt do they get it right and raise the tempo. A disappointing collaboration

Title Cristalle Andre Visior Eternal Flow Mix

This text will be replaced by the flash music player.

2/5 : Not Bad
Artist Viframa
Comments This is OK, nothing overly special. Nice beat which moves along very nicely. The main theme has that familiar club feel to it. Doesn't change much and is slow to get going and the main bit isn't really long enough. An average tune that you should listen to first before laying out any cash.
Label Ligaya Recordings : Released July 2005

Title Serenity Original Mix

2/5 : Not Bad
Artist Armin van Buuren feat. Jan Vayne
Comments This is quite a different tune for Armin. The sound is a bit techie and it's quite slow and sluggish to get going. You get a fairly hard beat and this tech sound for quite a while and it's one you have to bear with before it starts to get any better. There's a nice symphonic feel later on with some almost haunting vocals, but it doesn't really get off the ground in any way. You think it's about to let rip and it slows down to a plodding beat. Disappointing.

Title La Part des Anges Siberian Sun Remix

This text will be replaced by the flash music player.

3/5 : Good
Artist Fred Baker & Vincent Gorczak
Comments Fred Baker is fastly becoming one of the hottest producers out there. I can't think of a track by him or his alias Siberian Sun, that hasn't at least been a good tune. This is a good tune that is let down by the pauses in the middle of each theme and the slow start. The themes themselves rock really well and have a lot of pace and energy. Good synth work on top of a solid beat, which is slightly emphasised in places. The themes are both quite long, but not quite long enough to make up for the shortfalls. Don't get me wrong, this is a good tune and worth getting; just not as good as some of Fred's other work.

Title Alone MIDOR & Six4Eight Mix

Artist MIDOR & Six4Eight feat. Rocio
Comments Haven't heard from this mob in ages, so it was nice to pick this one up. You can always trust these guys to produce a funky sounding number. This gets down to business quite quickly with a really nice sounding euphoric build up that keeps going into a even nicer piano break. This is good going within the first 2 minutes and doesn't disappoint. The next break moves really well. Great euphoric synth in the background and the piano break works really well, adding that extra dimension. My moan, not long enough !

Title Xpanding Girl DJ Orkidea Remix

This text will be replaced by the flash music player.

2/5 : Not Bad
Artist Sasha vs. Underworld
Comments Strange mix of artists this, which is what partially, intrigued me; but then I like the remixer. This has quite a hard feel to it and is very bassy, but you have to bear with it. The talking at the beginning is very Underworld, somewhat strange if you ask me. It's after this that it starts to turn into a half decent tune and the background is techno'd up with a nice synth floating in and out. It's the bit's in between that sort of ruin this as the two just don't sound right together. It was a good attempt, but not a great one.

Artist Stan Void
Comments Another tune from the Somatic Sense label, these guys just can't help churning out tunes at the moment. A good double header, with this tune edging it on the club sound. Nice long chorus, although it isn't anything you haven't heard before. Nice piano break thrown in during the middle bit, which I like as it just breaks up the tune nicely. This then rolls straight back into the chorus and to be honest, it sounds really good with the piano holding it all together nicely. Needs a bit more passion or a different synth, but a quality tune from a quality label.

Title Space Guitar Trippy Club Mix

This text will be replaced by the flash music player.

3/5 : Good
Artist Mike Foyle pres. Statica
Comments This has a really fresh sound in the way the beat just rolls on and a touch of French stuff. This is sort of mellow in that the guitar does sound quite trippy, plus there's another synth that adds further space to it all. The rolling beat continues throughout and provides the whole feel to this. It's an odd tune, one that has grown on me over time. It's worth having a listen as it's certainly different to the bulk of the mainstream stuff currently available.
Label Electronic Elements : Released July 2005

Title Pukaar Sassot Remix

4/5 niiiccceeeee
Artist GD
Comments This starts quite an annoying tune, a very screechy sound to it. This soon turns into a real bundle of great sounds. The screech blends in really well with a very euphoric piece of synth work and a very moving beat. The tune in-between the two themes also continue to move the track really well, before you get another dose of good stuff. Apart from the beginning, I really can't moan about this. It's a fresh and different sound and has a really good happy feeling to it.

Title Release Original Mix

2/5 : Not Bad
Artist Solar Stone
Comments I was really disappointed with the Vadim Zhukov remix of this, but fortunately the Original wasn't that bad. A very slow and melodic tune this, very much the Solar Stone of old. So, to that end don't expect a real dance floor killer, because this isn't. I don't like the vocals in this, they add nothing. The tune is very simple, consists of a synth and a beat; that's about it. Nice in the early hours.

Title Stage One DJ Orkidea Mix

4/5 niiiccceeeee
Artist Space Manoeuvres
Comments The original of this back in 1999 was a major step forward in dance. It was a quite sensational tune as it was so different and fresh, yet so very addictive. The first half to this is very true that tune and then it's funked up very nicely. Very subtle additions, but a nice remix of the original. Doesn't go mad in anyway, but for those who have the original it's just a great little reminder of what was before. There are a few mixes, but get the promo vinyl 2. Markus Schulz also does a good attempt, but not as good as Orkidea.
Label Tirade Records (Promo) : Released July 2005

Title Air for Life Airwave Remix

This text will be replaced by the flash music player.

4/5 niiiccceeeee
Artist Above & Beyond vs. Andy Moor
Comments Some serious heavyweights here and some of my favourite ones at that. This is a real nice tune to listen to from the minute the really deep bass kicks in and all the spaced out noises take this up there. Not as hard a tune as you would expect from the artists, but a very welcome change in direction. The vocals are quite cool and blend well with the whole tune and although it is quite a slow tune, it just has that something about it. The main theme is very melodic and chilled out and works really well for me. Not a peak time tune, but certainly one as you are winding down.

Title Changes Octagen's Festival Remix

This text will be replaced by the flash music player.

2/5 : Not Bad
Artist Inner State
Comments Crazy start with some female vocals being sampled all over the place, quite confusing really. Doesn't really change much for quite a while and when it does the crazy vocals continue. It's a fairly progressive sort of sound, although nothing really changes too much apart from the odd stop and start. In fact, it doesn't really change at all and after a while the vocals do get on your nerves. Shame, this has potential.
Label Gesture Music : Released June 2005

Title Point of Impact Fractal Structure Remix

This text will be replaced by the flash music player.

4/5 niiiccceeeee
Artist Pulser
Comments How long has this artist been around for, seems like bloody ages. Anyway, I was quite excited to get this, especially with the remixer. This is a very typical Pulser tune. Good beat and some nice background synth work, which in this case is quite haunting. This is a very typical club tune as it has all the bits you would want to hear. Bit samey in that not a lot major changes once it's in full flow and there is only one chorus, which as ever is a real shame. There's a nice synth that is introduced late on, which ups the tempo nicely. Fortunately, the chorus is a fairly long one which makes up for the shortfall. A top notch tune.
